This Old House Update

We are almost a month into our renovations and it seems that we are making major progress! We may even be able to move in soon!  While living in a hotel has been nice, I am ready to get settled in our new home.  Below are some pictures of the work in progress.  Stay tuned for the big reveal in a few weeks!

Notice the sagging beam? This was the major problem with the house.  Now it is fixed and no more sagging floors!
Jason, good friend and our contractor, working his magic on our house! Back when we had dirt floors..
Subfloor goes down and electrical goes in! New plumbing in the corner to replace old galvanized pipes.
New support post and beam that will eventually be wrapped in an old wood to give it a rustic feel
New insulation goes up! Preparing for drywall.
Drywall where the kitchen will be
New drywall where water heater closet will be and where the built in fidge will be.
Now for the fun part! These are the kitchen cabinets we picked out. Should be here and installed in less then 2 weeks! Picking out the finishings and details has been my favorite part.
Our outdoor patio with my amazing new patio furniture! My amazing fiancé gave me this for my bday a few weeks ago.  All can be purchased at World Market.
And of course I had to plant some spring flowers to brighten things up!

We are nearing the end and let me tell you it has been a roller coaster of emotions  going through all of the renovations, moving and living in a hotel for the past month. But I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and feel it will all pay off big time in the end.  Looking forward to showing you the big reveal in only a few short weeks!

XOXO
