Mother’s Day Gift Ideas – The Gift Of Relaxation
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking of ways to spoil the leading lady in your life. Moms are generally selfless by nature, as soon as us kids arrive in the world, they no longer put themselves first. From that moment on, it’s all about us and I’m not sure if that ever actually ends. Even when we grow up go to college and start having families of our own. I know that rings true with our moms. Now, as we are in our thirties, our moms are still our rocks and the women we look up to most. As Michelle enters motherhood and as I approach it (at some point in the future, no mom I’m not pregnant), we have even more respect for what our moms have done and sacrificed for us. So this year we want to take the time to say thank you to our moms and to make sure we spoil them a little extra.
Even though your mom will tell you to not get her a gift and that she only wants to spend time with you (which is totally true by the way), it’s still a nice gesture to give her a thoughtful gift to show her how much you care. I love this Lavander Gift Set by L’Occitane because it is like a spa experience in a box. As soon as you open it, the lavender scent takes over and boom you already start feeling relaxed.
SPOILER ALERT (Mom, stop reading this now!) I will most likely give my mom this set paired with a nice bottle of wine so that she can enjoy a “spa night” in her new jet tub. Another great idea to go along with this set would be a fluffy bathrobe so she has something cozy to snuggle up in after she gets out of the bath. Regardless of how you package it up, a thoughtful gift like this will be a for sure winner with mom.
Whatever you end up doing for your mom make sure that you spend some quality time with her, even if that is over the phone. Tell her how much you appreciate her and that she has helped mold you into the wonderful woman you are today. She will appreciate that gesture more than any gift you can give.
