Today I decided to fight the crowds to check out the Isabel Marant Collection Pour H&M at the brand new Georgetown location (they literally opened yesterday). I woke up bright and early, bundled my self up , grabbed a coffee and headed to Georgetown to wait outside in the long line that I was expecting. I arrived at the store at 7:15am (doors opened at 8:00am) and to my surprise there were only about 25-30 people ahead of me in line. We waited for about 35 minutes outside and then they came around with red wristbands and a copy of the shopping policy to prepare us for the madness that was about to occur. At 7:45 they escorted us inside and we waited in front of the roped off collection, eyeing what we wanted and plotting a strategy on how to get it. When they let us go in to shop, it was chaos, people were grabbing the hottest most talked about items first and were grabbing about all they could hold. I was so scared I was going to be trampled that I just grabbed what I saw that I liked and didn’t even pay attention to size. To my surprise I ended up with some amazing pieces, maybe too many pieces. My bank account and my husband wont be too happy with me when they find out the damage but I think it was well worth it!!
Isabel Marant at H&M Georgetown: Fighting for FashionNovember 14, 2013
Unfortunately, Georgetown is sold out of most of the Isabel Marant items. Your best bet at this point is to shop online www.hm.com at 12 noon or you can buy at about double the price on Ebay. Make sure you pre-register your H&M account so that you can easily check out. There is a limit to 1 item per style per person. So know what you want! I recommend the black tuxedo blazer, fit is amazing!! Good luck and happy shopping!
