If you follow us on Instagram or are friends with us IRL, you’ve probably noticed a new trend..and we aren’t talking about animal prints. Our newest accessory that we can’t live without is our giant water (64oz) water bottle. We started a water challenge (on IG stories) back in April as a way to force ourselves into drinking more water. Well, I guess it’s really just me because Michelle was already drinking around 100 ounces a day. I was only drinking around 30. Yeah I know, awful. After realizing I was living in a constant state of dehydration, I figured after 35 years it was time to change that. I’ve read all the articles and been told by many doctors that water is the cure-all to most everything but for some reason, I had a really hard time consuming more. When it comes to anti-aging products, I’m willing to test it all. The older I get, the more I kick myself for not taking better care of my skin when I was younger. In my twenties, all I cared about was being tan and skinny and I didn’t think much about what consequences my decisions would have on my body in the long run. When it comes to my skin there are two people I trust, my dermatologist and Sarah Akram. Working in this field, I’ve been blessed with many invitations to local spas to try out treatments. While they are all relaxing and most of them have been wonderful experiences, I’ve never walked away with results like what I see when I leave Sarah Akram’s office. There is so much noise in the skincare field telling us what treatments we should be doing, what injections to get and what products you need to be slathering on our faces so it’s very important to find someone you trust with your skin. After trying and testing out most of the top spas in the area, it’s safe for me to say that I think that Sarah Akram is the best in the DMV, if not the entire country. Sarah’s February Skincare Lineup As you all know, I am a test dummy when it comes to beauty products. I’m always on the hunt for that magical product that will stop aging in its tracks. Although I haven’t found anything that will reverse aging, I have found a few products that have made my skin look more youthful! Instead of sharing what’s “hot” in beauty trends, I figured I would share a monthly round-up of the products that I’m using and loving at the moment.
