Whether you’re headed to Thailand or to your parent’s house for the Holidays, there is no denying that bringing the kids along means more packing, more planning, and a little more chaos. That’s where my friend Tavia from Big Brave Nomad comes in. She has traveled all over the world with her little ones, so we went to her to get the low down on how this is humanly possible. She has put together 11 simple ways to rock your travel days and make it more enjoyable while you to get to where you’re going. Timing Timing is everything. We’ve been told that all of our lives. Travel is no different. When booking your flight or starting your road trip, think of the kids. HA! But seriously, think of them. When do you feel like they would be the happiest? Our kids are great on EARLY morning flights, so we try to book the earliest available. Our kids are better in the car when they are tired, so we try to leave before their typical nap time. (or bed time) This is going to be your discretion because you know your kids best, so choose what works best for you. […]

What is best for baby … It’s the question I’m constantly asking myself, what is best for baby? I’m pretty sure I’m not the only mom out there that is constantly thinking this, because of course we want what is best for our little ones … There are some things that we just can’t control, but for those that we can, we try our best. Like buying all organic anything and everything, reading every instruction manual from top to bottom, researching product reviews and honestly just giving unconditional love and attention to your baby. Buying all organic is a no brainer for me. Organic shampoo, organic wipes, organic clothes. You can’t go wrong because there are no harsh chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and insecticides being used, therefore helping to improve the quality of the land, prevent water contamination, and conserve biodiversity. I would prefer to limit the exposure of harmful chemicals often found in non-organic products, which is something that I can control. Safe for baby and safe for the environment. That’s a win win. Finn + Emma is a great site that offers all organic product with aesthetics, comfort and baby fun in mind. Stylish with sustainability in mind. Something every mother seeks after. […]

Mommy necessities … I’ve read a lot of mommy blogs and listened to plenty of experienced mommy friends when it comes to the necessities. Tips like what to pack in your diaper bag or what you should never leave the house with out, but no one mentioned anything about lotion. No, not baby lotion, I’m talking lotion for mommy, a necessity no one seems to mention! It’s so important to have clean hands and sterilize everything for an infant. So of course all I feel like I do is wash my hands. I wash my hands before I hold baby girl, after I clean her diaper, after she spits up all over me and any and every other messy situation you can think of. We can’t forget about all the bottle cleaning I have to do too. From pumping and feeding, my hands are getting rough from the constant washing and drying of all her necessities. No one told me how sensitive mommy hands can get from all the work!! Which is why my tip to every new mom out there is to stock up on some hand lotion and pack it in your mommy purse, your diaper bag, your car, your […]
