Whether you are visiting LA, a new mom or still on the hunt to find activities for your kids in LA, I have you covered. As a mom of a two year old always looking for fun things to do on the weekend “aka. tire the hell out of them so they sleep well” I have done my fair share of research here in the Loa Angeles area so I decided to share my go to spots here! I’ll admit LA can be a bit intimidating because a lot of restaurants and places aren’t that kid friendly and like most moms, I hate the “judgy” eyes. You know those eyes … those heavy, judgemental eyes that glare at you when your kid is acting crazy for no reason except for the fact that you are in a closed, semi- contained space such as a restaurant or a store. A guide to the VI and BVI – Post Isabelle

I’m a beach girl through and through. Most of my favorite vacations have and always will be at the beach. For the last two years, we had the incredible opportunity to travel to the Virgin Islands thanks to some work perks through the hubby. Last year we vacationed in St, Thomas before Isabelle struck and then this year we traveled to St John (post-Isabelle). Having been to the VI and BVI both pre and post-Isabelle, it’s hard to believe what the people on these islands have gone through. So much was destroyed and lost. Most of the resorts were badly damaged (so much so that none of them on St. John had re-opened yet), most of the restaurants were demolished, and our favorite beach bars were washed away. As you can imagine, tourism has taken a huge hit since the storms. But with the help of natives, business owners, long-time visitors that love the islands, and Kenny Chesney (he’s a resident and a local hero), the islands are now on the mend. Making Memorial Day Memories

Making Memorial Day Memories Summer has officially begun and what better way to celebrate than a beach vacation with your friends!? Last week we headed to one of my favorite beach towns in the US, Charleston SC, for Memorial Day Weekend. Our good friends rented a beach house right on the Isle of Palms where we had an incredible view of the ocean from just about every room. We were lucky enough to be able to bring our pups with us, which made this trip even more special since we usually have to leave them at home when we travel long distances. Since we were there to celebrate our friend Josh’s birthday, we naturally had a bunch of swag made by Custom Ink to make sure the celebration was extra special. His wife had a logo of his face made, which was a huge hit and looked absolutely ridiculous (in the best way possible) as we sported his face around town. He was completely surprised and was secretly very excited for all of us to wear his “logo” around Charleston. We made custom t-shirts, visors, playing cards and tumblers made for the occasion.
