A Day in Middleburg at The Salamander Resort and Spa

I love fall in Virginia, it really is a beautiful thing.  This weekend we ventured out to Middleburg, VA to check out the new Salamander Resort and Spa.  We did all of the things you need to do in Middleburg, eat at a cute bakery, shop at the unique boutiques, drink wine and take in all of the beauty of the historic town. After lunch and shopping we found our way to the Salamander Resort and Spa where we had a few glasses of wine, appetizers and caught a football game by the fire.

The Salamander is a stunning resort and I took a few pictures to share with those of you that haven’t been able to make it out there yet.  The Salamander looks like a great place to relax and unwind in one of the most breath taking parts of our country, and we are looking forward to planning a staycation there soon.  Rates start at $275 per night and for another $125 your horse can stay too!

They have great fire pits and outdoor seating so you can cozy up and drink cocktails outside on a fall or winter night so whether you go for the weekend or just a drink at the Gold Cup Bar, The Salamander Resort is well worth the trip.

I was able to have lunch with my sweet niece at the Upper Crust Bakery. She recommends all of the cookies there!
