We were lucky enough to meet with rising jewelry design star, Marrin Costello and her fabulous director of marketing, Jaclyn McKethen in DC a few weeks back. After a few cappuccinos and lattes our energy started flowing and we got to talking about MARRIN COSTELLO as a brand, who they are and what they are striving for in this industry which places them apart from their competitors.
We felt like little girls playing dress up in mommy’s jewelry box, trying on different pieces and lusting over the next one that caught our eye. However, this was real life and we were being styled and layered with jewelry by the designer herself! All of MARRIN COSTELLO’s attainable luxury pieces are designed and handmade in LA with love. Each piece we laid our hands on had the perfect mix of edginess while still feminine, which allows for endless possibilities with future outfitting!
You can see in Marrin’s designs that she has an appreciation for genuine artistry and craftsmanship. With an entrepreneurial background and a passion in accessories starting at a very early age it only made sense to turn her hobby in to a business after her studies of Art History and Egyptology at UCLA.
Marrin Costello believes that every aspect of one’s life can be polished, it just “needs a little encouragement.” There is a piece for everyone and every age. Whether you prefer a bold statement piece, dainty gold jewelry, studs and skulls…the options are really endless!
With Marrin’s keen eye, she knew immediately what pieces to style us in that perfectly matched our personalities and our wardrobe.
Sarah is seen above wearing a bold statement necklace in silver called the Sharlyn with stacked Bowzer bracelets (their signature piece) in matte and silver along with the Stellar ring.
Michelle is pictured showcasing the newest addition to the collection, the Thursday Necklace, which is obviously our favorite and not just because it was named after us. Marrin layered this piece with the Helix to complete the look and stacked the infamous Bowzer bracelets along with the black Juliette (another signature piece) and the Dede to finish off the arm candy.
Marrin is shown here featuring one of her hottest items, The Deanna Body Chain, which we are obsessed with and both immediately ordered after the shoot. She layered the look with the Brooklyn necklace and finished it off with her signature Hammer and Hide Double Wrap bracelet in white.
xoxo
