I have been daydreaming about my baby’s nursery ever since Pinterest first came on the scene. This was well before the possibility of a baby was even realized. Who doesn’t enjoy making story boards and pinning pictures of beautiful nurseries? So I was surprised that when it came time to actually put together a nursery, I was at a complete loss with where to start.
I enjoy the visually artistic side of things, especially when it comes to wardrobe assembly, but interior design feels like an entirely foreign concept to me. There is also the disconnect between having a vision and executing that vision. And to add to the dire situation even more, I came to find that my husband was very opinionated about every decision from colors to overall decor. So despite the fact that we thought we had a vision and had been slowly collecting pieces to use in the nursery, we just couldn’t figure out how to decorate our nursery.
Lucky for me, I was introduced to Laurel & Wolf. They are an affordable online interior design. They have provided so much ease in what can be such an intimidating and frustrating process. All I had to do was upload a few pictures of the room and list the dimension of pieces I wanted to use. From our list of favorite places to shop, like DwellStudio and Etsy, they were able to provide a custom design for our limited space of a nursery here in LA. We just had to choose a style board that best fit and matched our vision and then we worked closely with our interior designer to customize the space to our liking. She did a wonderful job incorporating previous pieces we had while suggesting new pieces to tie it all together.
I’m so happy with the final product, thanks to Laurel & Wolf. They did such an incredible job putting together our nursery which is something I have dreamed about for years. The space feels clean and not too overwhelming which was one of my biggest concerns while working with such a small space. The touches of blush and greenery gave it the perfect California, boho look I was envisioning, making our nursery feel comfortable and zen for both baby and mommy.
Louis is ready to be a big brother!
