Seems that home workouts have become the new norm since Covid struck and if you are anything like me, working out on your own is just..blah. I love group fitness because I feed off the motivation of a coach and other people working out around me to kick my booty into high gear. Yes, I can get a mediocre workout done on my own but I notice such a difference when I have someone there to make sure I get in the max amount of work. Virtual workouts have been a complete life saver for me because I have to stick to a schedule and I still have a coach pushing me through!
If you need a little help or motivation to get moving while we are on lockdown, here are some of my favorites that I have been rotating through. Check them out below!
Xtend Barre Old Town: Use this time at home to tone and tighten everything up. I love these workouts led by our dear friend Natalie Strahorn! So many great workouts to choose from! When you sign up you can either join the live class or save the link and do it later! Sign up for a single class for $8 or for a week for $30!
Mind The Mat Pilates/Yoga: We are OBSESSED with Dr. Megan Brown (she’s also a very talented PT) Hawt Pilates and Pilates Bootcamp Classes. Your booty will never (burn) look so good! They are offering $99 Monthly Unlimited Passes for full access to all their Facebook live and zoom classes. Or you can sign up for $29 per week! You guys will love her energy!
Sculp’d: Pre-Quarantine I was loving the reformer pilates classes at Sculp’d! So great for lengthening and strengthening your muscles! Bummed I can’t get on a reformer right now but I’ve been loving their on-demand classes! Try your first one for free or sign up for weekly ($35) or monthly ($99) memberships if you get hooked!
Zweet Sport: Looking for some high intensity workouts? Zweet Sport is where it’s at! Get your heart rate up and burn off all those quarantine calories! Also love their yoga classes too! Sign up for a Virtual 5 Pack for $99 !
Ascend Cycle/Underground: Ascend is my favorite local spin and lifting studio in Alexandria! They’re classes are always high energy and get a serious sweat going! Lot’s of classes to choose from! Virtually Drop in for $10 or sign up for a week of classes for $20!
Mellissa Wood Health: I’ve been following Mellissa Wood Health for a few years now and always admired her health tips and tricks so I decided to sign up for her 7 day free trial and became OBSESSED. This is the perfect compliment to my weight lifting (new barbell came yesterday!!), great core workouts and lots of stretching too! Try out the 7 day free trial and see how you like it!
