I would be lying if I told you that I didn’t live in my athletic gear. I have an entire room full of clothing but 9 times out of 10, I will throw on leggings and a tee over putting thought into getting dressed in a cute outfit. Sometimes it just seems too exhausting. Of course, there are instances when I need to wear actual pants but when I’m working from home or running errands, it’s pretty much a guarantee that I’m in athleisure.
But don’t be mistaken, just because I’m not decked out in pearls and heels doesn’t mean I’m looking like a slob in my sporty attire either. No way. I make a point to look pulled together whether I’m headed to the drug store or to a Congressional Happy Hour with my hubby. You never know who you might run into, so might as well look decent, right?
As a fitness junkie and the Style and Beauty Editor of Strong Fitness Magazine, I try out a ton of athletic gear. You name it, I have probably tried it on and done a Crossfit workout in it. And all of these of these Athleisure looks below get my stamp of approval.

Color Blocking
This is a trend you may have seen popping up in Athlesiure lately. I absolutely love it because it adds a little interest to your workout gear without being over the top (not that being over the top is bad). I’m obsessed with these tights by Onzie because they are super comfy and fit really well. I would wear these to the gym for a light workout or out to lunch with a denim jacket and my Reebok Classics.
Stars
I am officially on the star-struck, people! I can’t get enough of these magical things! I have multiple pairs of leggings with stars on them (listed below) but these leggings featured by GTS Sports are some of my current faves. They fit super well and have fun detailing along the bottom.
Monochromatic Sets
I have always admired those who could pull of those cute matching sets but I hadn’t given it a whirl until now and let’s just say I’m obsessed. I have been a long time fan of Outdoor Voices, so I was dying to try out their new fit kits. LOVE LOVE this one and it comes in tons of different colors and for different activities. You have to check them out!
Velour
I am so in love with this trend and this sweatshirt. You guys, it is so soft and cuddly! But beyond the comfy factor, I get tons of compliments on it because it looks super stylish paired with pretty much any leggings. Shop this one and some of my faves below:
