Leather and Silk: The Perfect Holiday Pairing…

With one holiday down and two more on the horizon, its time to start thinking about gift giving and what you will wear to all the holiday soirees that are upon us. Christmas is my favorite time of year, not for the gift receiving but the time spent with friends and family. I don’t discriminate when it comes to parties, I love them all, but nothing comes close to comparing to a Christmas party and with so many of them coming up in the next few weeks, you will need to make sure that you have the right look for that holiday soirée.

The type of party that you are attending will really determine the dress our outfit that you will wear. While many of the parties may be cocktail attire or ugly Christmas sweater themed, others may be a bit more casual. If you don’t know what to wear, you can always opt for an outfit that walks the line between dressy and festive without being over the top. And you can spend your night loading up on spiked cider instead of worrying over your outfit.

I love this look because it is so versatile, I could wear it out to drinks with the girls, to dinner with my hubby or even to a holiday party. The flowy silk top pairs perfectly with a pair of leather leggings, heels and a fun pair of earrings. If red or green isn’t your jam, opt for metallics instead. They give off a festive vibe and make your outfit look even more dressed up than your black average top or dress. Leather also kicks the outfit up a notch and gives a bit more edge to the look and another reason why Leather and silk are the perfect holiday pairing.
