Life Update – The Scout Guide Alexandria

Life has been a little crazy since taking on The Scout Guide Alexandria but in the best way possible. It’s been a refreshing change for me since most of my days previously were spent behind my computer in my home. Don’t get me wrong, I love blogging and having the luxury of working from home with my two puppies by my side but sometimes you need to get out and be around people!!

For those of you who don’t know what The Scout Guide is, let me get you up to speed! The Scout Guide is a publication dedicated to living beautifully, living well, and living like an insider—wherever you are. We connect you with inspiration, as well as with makers and experts who can help you enhance your life, elevate your surroundings, and enjoy your community to the fullest. There are currently 60 publications in over 60 cities around the country and now the Alexandria guide is my very own baby! If you are visiting a new city, I recommend picking one up and using it as your city guide as you explore. There are so many great shops, restaurants, artists and more highlighted in each guide!

TSG has been great because each day is different. I’m out meeting local business owners, grabbing coffee with entrepreneurs, shooting in local boutiques and planning my next book (if you know of any great local businesses that I should feature, comment below). Its been so fun and I can’t wait to share what I create! Although it has been challenging finding the time to do both 52 Thursday’s and TSG but I’m hoping soon that I will find some balance because both are super important to me. I mean who needs sleep anyway??

The next few months will be a little crazy as I start planning and shooting for my next book, that will launch in November of 2018. But I promise I’ll still be creating only THE BEST content for you all over here when I have some downtime.
