10 Tips To Keep Your Nutrition On Track While Traveling Staying on track with your nutrition while traveling can be tricky (but not impossible!) Whether you are tracking your macros on our #52DayShred program or if you are following paleo or Whole 30 diets, it can be challenging to stick with it when you are on the road. So many temptations at your fingertips, just waiting to throw you off track. So instead of giving in and giving up while you travel, we’ve come up with our top 10 travel tips to keep your progress going even while on your trip. Bring portable workout equipment with you (i.e. jump rope, resistance bands, sliders). Our weekly workouts can be done almost anywhere, including hotel gyms. Any hotel room can also be turned into a workout space with a few feet of floor space, some bodyweight exercises, and a little creativity! Looking for a CrossFit box while you’re out of town? Download The Drop In App! Find the nearest box, pay to drop in, and sign the waiver automatically, wherever in the world you go. Show up and workout—the rest is done before you arrive.

6 Tips for Goal Setting A bit behind tackling your New Year’s Resolutions this year? Instead of beating yourself up about how far behind you are with what you want to accomplish, why not get to work and set your goals today? Our #52DayShred Coach, Reebok Marketing Guru, Crossfit Competitor, and Body Architect at Anatomy Fitness, Nikki Pepper, is here to share her secrets to goal setting and how to get started today. Here’s your chance to create a plan for yourself for what you want to achieve. Set SMART Goals – This acronym stands for specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, timely. Write them down! There’s great power in writing something down on a piece of paper. Setting something in ink also sets it in your mind! Keep your goals listed where you can see them every day. Use visualization techniques. Picture yourself accomplishing your goals—How it’s going to feel, what will happen as a result, how you’ll be able to live differently. If you can believe it, you can achieve […]

I would be lying if I told you that I didn’t live in my athletic gear. I have an entire room full of clothing but 9 times out of 10, I will throw on leggings and a tee over putting thought into getting dressed in a cute outfit. Sometimes it just seems too exhausting. Of course, there are instances when I need to wear actual pants but when I’m working from home or running errands, it’s pretty much a guarantee that I’m in athleisure. But don’t be mistaken, just because I’m not decked out in pearls and heels doesn’t mean I’m looking like a slob in my sporty attire either. No way. I make a point to look pulled together whether I’m headed to the drug store or to a Congressional Happy Hour with my hubby. You never know who you might run into, so might as well look decent, right? As a fitness junkie and the Style and Beauty Editor of Strong Fitness Magazine, I try out a ton of athletic gear. You name it, I have probably tried it on and done a Crossfit workout in it. And all of these of these Athleisure looks below get my stamp […]

When our busy lives get the most of us, it’s hard to even think about trying to meal plan. It seems like we are always just getting back from a whirlwind trip or planning one, so it can be hard to pre-plan meals and to make sure we’re hitting our macros when we are always on the go. Meal prep can feel overwhelming and many times it’s why we opt to eat out instead of packing a lunch or eating something healthy at home. A few years ago Michelle and I teamed up with our friend and health food blogger, Elise Museles of Kale & Chocolate to create mason jar lunches which we became obsessed with! She taught us that by just a setting aside a little time for prep work that we would save time, money and calories!! All you have to do is prep a few healthy ingredients ahead of time then just mix and match them to create your own unique salads. Coming up with a plan for the week has definitely helped me stay on track, and these mason jar salads have been a total life saver because I actually look forward to eating them. It […]
