It’s that time of the year again! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, where we all go just a little bit loco. We know it’s crazy to think of Fall Fashion as we endure these scorching hot summer days but we love strategic shopping and getting ahead of the game to save some dinero. So if you are brave enough to go in store, more power to you, but for those of you (like us) that enjoy a nice glass of wine and their laptop in hand then we have you covered! We rounded up our top favorite picks from the sale by category for some easy breezy shopping. The early access sale started today and goes through July 20th, so if you have a Nordstrom card you are in luck! It’s hard to believe that Christmas is only a few short weeks away. Each year it seems like the holidays sneak up on us and then we are left scrambling trying to find thoughtful, quality gifts at the last minute. After years of being ill prepared and giving presents that looking back we aren’t so proud of, we are finally thinking ahead and getting our shopping done early (major #adulting moment). Sure, you can pick up an abundance of gifts at Macy’s or any neighborhood department store but do you ever find yourself questioning why you are buying tons of meaningless gifts? Giving gifts during the holidays has a rich history behind it filled with love, family and spreading joy but somewhere along the way, the intent behind gift giving has shifted. We think that the MORE gifts we give the happier the person unwrapping them will be. But is this true? Maybe the key to holiday gifting is to focus on giving fewer better gifts with more meaning rather than waisting money on a bunch of insignificant things. Designer Spotlight: 52 Minutes with Marrin Costello

We were lucky enough to meet with rising jewelry design star, Marrin Costello and her fabulous director of marketing, Jaclyn McKethen in DC a few weeks back. After a few cappuccinos and lattes our energy started flowing and we got to talking about MARRIN COSTELLO as a brand, who they are and what they are striving for in this industry which places them apart from their competitors. We felt like little girls playing dress up in mommy’s jewelry box, trying on different pieces and lusting over the next one that caught our eye. However, this was real life and we were being styled and layered with jewelry by the designer herself! All of MARRIN COSTELLO’s attainable luxury pieces are designed and handmade in LA with love. Each piece we laid our hands on had the perfect mix of edginess while still feminine, which allows for endless possibilities with future outfitting! You can see in Marrin’s designs that she has an appreciation for genuine artistry and craftsmanship.
