We are sure we are not the only ones that are constantly on a mission to find the perfect tee. Let’s be honest, as soon as temps hit above 90’s and creep into the 100’s, a flattering tee and some cut off shorts are always the go to. We love the versatility of a basic tee by pairing it with distressed denim or dressing it up with a pencil skirt and blazer for work. The options are really endless! This Old House Update

We are almost a month into our renovations and it seems that we are making major progress! We may even be able to move in soon! While living in a hotel has been nice, I am ready to get settled in our new home. Below are some pictures of the work in progress. Stay tuned for the big reveal in a few weeks! Notice the sagging beam? This was the major problem with the house. Now it is fixed and no more sagging floors! Jason, good friend and our contractor, working his magic on our house! Back when we had dirt floors.. Subfloor goes down and electrical goes in! New plumbing in the corner to replace old galvanized pipes. New support post and beam that will eventually be wrapped in an old wood to give it a rustic feel New insulation goes up! Preparing for drywall. Drywall where the kitchen will be New drywall where water heater closet will be and where the built in fidge will be. Now for the fun part! These are the kitchen cabinets we picked out. ReClaimed Wood Flower Box Project

Sorry for the late post but as you will see by my pictures posted below that we worked straight through the night to get this project done! Today was day #1 of construction, our contractor and his team started pulling up floors, taking down kitchen cabinets and even knocked out a chimney! It is a full on construction zone in our house and I am trying to keep my cool since we have to move out of our apartment and into the house in 7 days. So to keep my mind in a happy place, I have been focusing on our back yard and getting it into tip top shape for my bday party this weekend (there will be a post next week on that). Below is a little project that Casey and I worked on today and hopefully tomorrow we will be able to finish the second flower box. Oh the joys of being a homeowner!
