We arrived in NYC for New York Fashion Week and have been busy bees, snapping photos at our favorite shows, capturing the some amazing street style and taking in some pretty cool parties as well. We have so much to share with you but we thought we would give you highlights of some of our favorite moments thus far. A Weekend at The Saratoga Races

Jumpsuit by DVF, sunglasses by Ray-ban and fascinator purchased in Saratoga boutique. Dress by BCBG and bag by Street Level Bags. Saratoga will forever hold a special place in my heart, it has been an annual vacation spot for our family since I was a baby and it is also the place where Casey and I got engaged two years ago. I grew up in a horse loving family, so it is only natural that our family vacation would be centered around an equestrian event. Saratoga Springs, NY has so much charm and character behind it, from the historic homes to the natural springs and everything in between. I am sure you have ordered one of those blue bottles of sparkling water sold at your local restaurant, if you have then you have had a taste of Saratoga (literally). The race season at the Saratoga track starts in late July and runs six days a week through the end of August, which makes for the perfect time to visit to escape the southern heat. Shift-Work

This spring we are loving neutral and soft shades that are easy on the eye and easy to wear as well. Living in the DC area we lead pretty busy lifestyles; from going to work, straight to a dinner meeting/happy hour and sometimes we don’t get home until 10pm and we are ready to crash! On long days like these we opt to wear something chic yet comfortable; may we introduce you to the almighty shift dress. Shift dresses are perfect to wear during the warmer weather and can easily go from day to night with a quick change of shoes and accessories. Shift dresses have been popular since the 60’s and still are to this day due to their loose fitting and forgiving silhouettes. Be sure to find one with the right length as some shifts can be unflattering and overwhelming if too long but easily fixed with a simple hem.
