Roses Are Red…

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Vodka costs less than dinner for two. While this is very true, I don’t entirely recommend sloshing down a bottle of vodka while dressed up in your finest white dress. Things could get a bit messy, so I recommend changing into something a bit more comfy if that is where the evening is looking like it’s going to take you. If you’re brave enough to fight the crowds tonight or even if you plan to celebrate this weekend, instead of going with a classic red dress, why not switch it up and wear a sexy white number? It was love at first sight when I found this white bodycon dress by Australian designer Bless’ed Are The Meek while shopping online. While I haven’t actually worn it out on a date with my hubby yet, it will be first in the queue when we decide to head out somewhere fancy. But seriously, back to the roses. Every woman loves roses, whether it’s Valentine’s Day or just an ordinary Tuesday. Fall Favorites

No matter where you live, big city or small-town U.S.A., there’s no question that shopping for new fall clothes can be hard. Believe me, I know first hand. You go shopping with something particular in mind and then you never seem to find it or you end up buying a bunch of things that never end up working together, which leaves you frustrated and down right mad. But don’t lose hope quite yet because I have a few simple solutions that will help you jumpstart your fall wardrobe update. Striped shirts may seem so basic but don’t write off this easy print as boring just yet, because its all about how you layer them. I have been rocking my striped shirts with my favorite long line vest, overalls, and with my new leather moto jacket. Simple yet refined. Another fall favorite of mine is the A-Line denim skirt. It may bring back memories of high school and college, but the denim skirt has been making a slow and steady comeback this year. Trust me, its something worth looking into. Greek Adventure Part 2: Santorini

Santorini was the inspiration for our entire trip to Greece; it was the destination that I needed to see, the one I had dreamed about. Transportation was significantly less painful than our Athens to Mykonos experience and thankfully I was able to keep my luggage with me. We always adore Starwood Resorts and had the great fortune to stay at the Vedema for three wonderful nights. The only thing better than the resort itself was the fantastic staff that made us feel at home 5,272 miles from Arlington. The Vedema is not only just a luxurious hotel with out of this world customer service and accommodations but like everything in Santorini it has incredible history. Before being reborn as a luxury resort the buildings and grounds housed one of Santorini’s largest wineries growing and fermenting the Assyrtiko grape for over 400 years. Given that history our fist order of business had to be wine tasting in the original barrel cave hosted by Vedema’s resident Sommelier, followed by a pretty glorious nap.
