Spring is in the air! We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after a brutally cold winter here in DC. One thing is for certain, we are all ready for some fresh air after being trapped indoors for a solid two months straight. Warm weather means happy hours, dining el fresco, farmers markets and finally shedding the layers that we have become a-custom to bundling up in. And luckily enough, we have found one glorious spot in DC to indulge in all of our favorite warm weather activities. Union Market is a unique emporium that houses over 40 artisan retailers under one roof. Richard Brandenburg, veteran of José Andrés’s ThinkFoodGroup, has carefully curated the ultimate foodie experience and locals and tourists have definitely taken notice. Vendors range from fine food artisans, up-and-coming entrepreneurs, to well known restaurateurs all creating an overall memorable experience. You can choose to eat at a specific restaurant or if you are with a group, everyone can grab different bites from various vendors and share them at the picnic tables outside. We have been introduced and now officially hooked on some amazing new designers, products and artists this summer. We wanted to share some of our top favorites, in case one may become yours too! 1. Zella Woods Jewelry We are absolutely loving everything about up-and-coming jewelry designer, Zella Woods. Ashley Henderson, the designer behind Zella Woods, makes personal and custom pieces that are perfect as a gift to a friend, new mother, or even to treat yourself! You can tell she puts her heart and soul into her work and it really shows in each piece of jewelry she crafts. 52 Thursday’s #unmiSTKable night

STK is officially open for business right here in our nation’s capital! They are located in the Dupont Circle offering a one-of-a-kind, high-end dining and chic lounge experience. If you are looking for a sexy, sophisticated hotspot with #unmiSTKable food this is the place to be seen. What sets them apart from other traditional steakhouses is their vibe-driven atmosphere with inspired cocktails and DJs spinning nightly to create an energetic, night life vibe through out the entire place. As you can imagine, we were beyond excited to be invited to a private dinner before the official grand opening party on Thursday to taste the menu. We went in with empty stomachs and left full and completely satisfied, anxious for the grand opening! We started with the Tuna Tartar and Foie Gras French Toast. Both were amazing but the Foie Gras French Toast definitely stood out from anything we have ever tried with green apple, almond brioche and sherry gastrique. As anticipated, steak is the main attraction – so of course we both ordered the filet. I choose the béarnaise sauce which was the perfect combination and added even more flavor to the perfect steak.
