What is motherhood? I came across a quote I really enjoyed. That “being a mother is not about what you gave up to have a child, but what you gained from having one“. It’s crazy how having a baby will flip your world upside down yet in an instant that baby will too become your entire world in the best way possible. My husband and I used to be quite the wannabe “foodies”. We would try new restaurants each weekend and indulge in all the chef’s specials and delicious wine list. Today, in this day in age, it’s the last thing I want to do. After a long work week consisting of us coming home in the evening while frantically cooking/ eating dinner as a family with very little play time left over, the weekend is what we look forward to the most. All I want is to do is find fun activities and things to do to make my baby girl happy! But of course a date night, with good food once every few months is necessary for our sanity. Like I said, being home with baby A brings me all the joy in the world. When we moved in to our new home, I wanted to make […]

Want to talk about Baby Brain? With the commotion of moving, work, all the craziness of the holidays oh and growing a mini human being in your belly, I completely forgot about posting my holiday dressing for the West Coast. Smh. So we will make this short and quick because, well you get the idea. Temperatures are a bit on the warmer side here on the west coast despite a few colder weeks and rain. Yes, rain! Hallelujah. I was only 14 weeks pregnant when I shot this look and this top made for the perfect monochromatic holiday outfit. Flowy enough to hide the awkward pudge of a baby bump forming but with a little skin and shimmer to feel elevated and appropriate for a fun night out. Minus the alcohol of course. Now currently at 23 weeks, this top won’t cover much but you bet it will be patiently waiting for me in the back of my closest post baby girl. Funny how 9 weeks on a pregnant lady can make you look and feel like a completely different person! I have fought off the nausea and moved on to heart burn. This will make for a fun holiday season of […]

One of the things I love most about blogging is having the opportunity or should I say an excuse to have an alter ego. To dress like you live another life, whether that may be a jet setter, a bohemian princess, a beach bunny or even a city slicker. We all have a particular taste in clothes and styling that makes us who we are and defines our character, but the occasional change of pace is sometimes necessary. To be spotted in something new and different keeps people on their toes. I don’t dress up normally. In fact, I wear sneakers every minute of the day or at least whenever possible that is. It’s realistic in my life and for my job. I’m always on my feet running around and always on the go. It’s hard to sit still, so wearing clothes and shoes that match that lifestyle just makes sense. So times like these when I can put on a fun printed skirt, shiny heels and pretend like I’m a character on Sex & The City makes me pretty damn happy. I found this skirt at VIPME and got so excited. The polka dot print, vibrant color and full body had me […]

We have always been huge fans of Theory and the concept of finding the perfect fit within your clothing. Sounds simple but we all know how difficult this can be to achieve. With many countless hours in various fitting rooms, attempting to find the perfect light to stump ours brains to thinking the fit isn’t that bad until we go home and regret all hours wasted. At Theory, this is never the case because somehow they have mastered this to perfection with style, innovation and constant inspiration. Theory was built around the idea of the perfect shirt and essential pant. Something we all need in our wardrobe. My theory is that they mastered all things clothing and decided to embark on the next challenge … accessories! I was so excited to find out that Theory finally came out with their own line of accessories which launched this month. Their collection of bags and accessories embody everything we desire from a life long bag partner … reliable, luxurious, practical and most of all just flat out stunning. My favorite is The Whitney Hoop. The hardware was made to perfection and the versatility is fun and easy to wear as a cross body during the day, […]
