While we were in Miami for Fashion week we had the amazing opportunity to check out the debut of Karla Colletto’s Cruise 2015 collection. This unique and creative capsule collection was the perfect collaboration with Washington D.C. based creative agency Design Army. Karla Colletto and creative director Pum Lefebure created the Swim At Your Own Risk capsule collection. They did an absolutely amazing job capturing creative composition with a signature look featuring exquisite construction and high-quality materials. So of course we had to check out the Design Army pool party at the Capitol Skyline Hotel August 22nd, celebrating the exclusive collection. The models were stunning, perfectly capturing a modern, witty and fresh new take on swimwear. The two beauties in the middle are non other than the creative director of Design Army, Pum Lefebure and Kim Thornton of Karla Colletto. “The modern woman is daring, and never shies away from adventure. She’s fun, she’s bold, and she’s always the first to dive off the boat or chase the next big wave. To me, that confidence is sexy.” -Pum Lefebure Handmade rings by Stephanie Sheehan Thank you Karla Colletto and Design Army for having us to your fabulous party! We can’t wait to rock the Swim At Your Own […]

After a little trial and error, I came up with a delicious (and healthy) protein cookie recipe that is totally bikini friendly. With summer just a few weeks away and many beach trips in my near future, I have been experimenting with healthy recipes that will keep me satisfied and kick my sweet tooth cravings to the curb. And with this recipe I think I may have come up with the perfect post workout snack.. What You Will Need: 2 ripe bananas mashed until tender with a fork 2 tablespoons of peanut butter 2 tablespoons or more of your favorite dark chocolate bar (depending how much you love chocolate) 1 scoop of your protein powder or Source Organic Whey (pictured) 1 cup steel cut oats 3 tablespoons of agave nectar (if your protein powder has no flavor) A Little About Source Organic Whey: Where your food comes from is important, and what goes into making the purest whey protein available is just as important as what does not. Source Organic Whey Protein starts with the finest raw ingredients and does as little to them as possible. They start by working with farmers who believe in the welfare and humane […]

We wanted to have a low key girls night this past weekend and thought it would be fun to get together, drink some vino and decorate sugar cookies to get ready for Valentine’s day. I’m always looking for an excuse to make my mom’s famous sugar cookies, so it just made sense to host a cookie decorating party with all of our friends. They are so easy to make and you will have plenty left over, even after the party. This has been a family recipe that I always look forward to making with my mom and sister every year (and of course enjoying them after). They come out light and fluffy and warning; they are extremely addictive!! “Peggy’s Sugar Cookies” Ingredients 2 cups of sugar 1 1/2 cup shortening 3 eggs 1 cup milk 1 tbs baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 5 cups (flour till thick) Mix thoroughly and chill overnight. Roll out on floured surface and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 min. Frosting 2 cups of powdered sugar 1/2 cup of butter Splash of milk- Add until it creates a thick paste that will hold on cookie Create different colors by adding […]
