Since the big move to LA, we have been feeling like we are millions of miles apart. Not only are we living on separate coasts but we’re no longer able to indulge in our weekly wine nights where we used get together to swap beauty secrets, catch up on gossip and our latest fashion cravings. Which completely sucks btw. But thanks to Bag Borrow or Steal, we were able to come together to collaborate once a month to share our latest handbag obsessions with you. Even though we have different styles, we still share the same love for many of the same pieces…. And these Gucci Disco bags are right up both of our allies. These bags are the perfect pop of color, compact enough to carry when you are on the go and they make a total statement with the fun tassles. We have been wearing our cross-body bags on repeat and creating a variety of looks, thanks to Bag Borrow or Steal. They are so easy to throw on and really can play off any style or trend. Falling for South Moon Under

There are times when living and working in the big city can really wear a girl down. Sometimes you just have to get in your car, roll down the windows and head somewhere where the air is clean, the sky is big and the only traffic is a herd of cows crossing the road. For me, that place is my hometown of Warrenton, VA, a charming little town about 45 minutes (and a millions miles) west of D.C. Driving down the winding country roads is my stress relief. As the city fades in my rearview mirror, a sense of relaxation that can’t be found at the fanciest spa or yoga retreat washes over me. Warrenton is part of my heart and I am so blessed to have spent my formative years in such a beautiful part of our country. When I think of fall, I think of gold and auburn foliage, horses, wineries and, of course, plaid. When we teamed up with local boutique South Moon Under to style a shoot highlighting our favorite fall styles, I couldn’t wait to head to my perfect location. Don’t Mess With Texas

Last weekend, Casey and I headed to Dallas to see some old friends and to go to our first Formula 1 race, The Circuit of Americas in Austin. Some take aways from the weekend other then I would like to move to Texas, is that the boots are amazing, they beat Rag and Bone any day, the Kolaches are to die for (more on that below), never again will I wear skinny jeans to a car race when it’s 85 degrees, and everything IS truly bigger in Texas.

Hey Ya’ll I got Hitched!

After thirteen months of engagement bliss, and many many DIY projects later, Casey and I finally tied the knot on September 21st 2013 at the Marriott Ranch in Hume, Va. Even though the weather wasn’t what we were hoping for it didn’t rain on our parade. What a fun day full of friends, family, laughter and one hell of a party!
