How to stand out on your feed with Sassoon Salons’ Mondaine Collection. Want to know how to stand out on your Instagram Feed? Something I haven’t mastered but definitely something I strive for on @FiftyTwoThursdays. My three simple tips to keep in mind when snapping that gramable photo is to be UNIQUE, be VIBRANT and just be YOU. I was inspired by this from the Sassoon’s newly released AW17 Mondaine Collection. It celebrates and promotes the kind of individuality which makes women stand out in a crowd! (aka. your feed). When I visited Sassoon Salon last week for my usual highlights and cut I spoke with David Clark, the Assistant Creative Director at Beverly Hills and what makes this collection so unique with the most enviable hair on the gram. Here were the three looks/ tips he gave me to stand out and feel a bit more confident. Try A Vibrant Color: Copper-red will make them stop mid-scroll, without being too over the top. Infused with soft gold and vibrant orange, it’s the perfect balance between outrageously bold and casually brilliant Unfortunately I don’t think I’m that daring … Be Daring, Drop a Few Inches: A super short, blunt […]

Finding a new hair dresser that knows and handles your hair with as much care as you do to your own can be like finding a needle in a hay stack. When I first started juggling the idea of moving to LA, one of my first thoughts was how will I find a new hair color and cut stylist that suits me. Luckily I found Sassoon Salon. Here is where I discovered my Beverly Hills Creative Team, with the newly announced and incredibly talented Creative Director, Lina Ryan and highly skilled colorist, Dianne Degnan. Lina has just recently relocated from the U.K. to lead the Beverly Hills Creative Team here in Los Angeles where she brings her creativity, signature charisma and distinct style straight to LA. She was discovered as a hair model by a Sassoon Stylist in 2000 which lead her in to the world of Hair Design originally and her love in fashion, trends and hair prevails in her work. With her new leadership and partnership with Dianne, the Sassoon Salon dream team in Beverly Hills is my new gem. That’s why I just had to interview my two new specialists to share with you their hair secrets, latests trends. Meet Lina and […]

While we were in Miami for Fashion week we had the amazing opportunity to check out the debut of Karla Colletto’s Cruise 2015 collection. This unique and creative capsule collection was the perfect collaboration with Washington D.C. based creative agency Design Army. Karla Colletto and creative director Pum Lefebure created the Swim At Your Own Risk capsule collection. They did an absolutely amazing job capturing creative composition with a signature look featuring exquisite construction and high-quality materials. So of course we had to check out the Design Army pool party at the Capitol Skyline Hotel August 22nd, celebrating the exclusive collection. The models were stunning, perfectly capturing a modern, witty and fresh new take on swimwear. The two beauties in the middle are non other than the creative director of Design Army, Pum Lefebure and Kim Thornton of Karla Colletto. “The modern woman is daring, and never shies away from adventure. She’s fun, she’s bold, and she’s always the first to dive off the boat or chase the next big wave. To me, that confidence is sexy.” -Pum Lefebure Handmade rings by Stephanie Sheehan Thank you Karla Colletto and Design Army for having us to your fabulous party! We can’t wait to rock the Swim At Your Own […]

Big hair, snakes, barely there suits, celebrities and steamy temps are just a few words to describe what we experienced at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2015 this past week in Miami. This was our first time attending Swim Week and we are sure it won’t be our last since it was quite the experience. We attended pretty much every show and after party that was held at The Raleigh Hotel which left little down time to eat or sleep, so as you can imagine we are a tad bit exhausted. So sorry for the late share! Below are a few of our favorite “stand out” runway moments that we had to share with you right away. Who doesn’t love a Britney Moment? We Are Handsome nailed it. A.Z Araujo show was the most entertaining by far. We loved the variety of shapes and sizes to all different ages of beautiful models walk that walk. Even Adriana de Moura from The Real Housewives of Miami strutted her stuff on the runway! Mara Hoffman never disappoints. Her new collection was inspired by her recent travels to Guatemala with a fresh take marrying bold prints on one side and striking solids on the other. Two words for the Minimale Animale Show… Bad […]
