Barbour – Introducing The All New 4oz Wax Jacket Michelle and I have been long-time customers and fans of the Barbour brand since as long as we can remember. So when we were asked to help Barbour launch their new line of light-weight spring jackets, we were absolutely thrilled! We already owned a wide variety of Barbour staples but their new 4oz Wax Collection has to be our favorite by far. The light-weight fabric in these new jackets is perfect for both LA’s gorgeous weather and the unpredictable weather we experience here in DC. With spring only weeks away, sunny beach days, cherry blossoms, and light spring jackets are the only things that we can think of at this point! My Tribe… Today I am welcoming my good friend, fellow entrepreneur, consultant, lifestyle blogger, artist, and one of my role models to the blog. If you haven’t heard of Meg Biram and you live in DC, well you may be living under a rock. This girl is a rock star people and if you aren’t already following her, you need to check out her website immediately! I met Meg almost two years ago when I had just left my full-time job as a Dental Sales Rep and took the plunge into self-employment. This was also around the same time that Michelle was making the move to LA. I had followed Meg’s blog for years and was floored when she reached out to me to join her co-working space in Georgetown. I can’t begin to explain how much joining this creative collective space has helped my business grow and prosper over the last year and a half. Plus it helped me from not going completely insane while making the transition into self-employment because working from your home every day can get downright distracting, boring and it can get pretty lonely too. How To Survive Winter In DC, In Style

Winter in DC can be rough. Living in a cold climate like ours, you have two choices. Hibernate in your home for the winter (which is sometimes an attractive option) or bundle up and go on with life as usual. We have to admit, we do a little of both when the frigid air moves in but like most people we can’t slow down or stop working just because it’s cold outside. The struggle is real when dressing for the cold weather in a city like ours. There are endless events to attend and to dress for, we are talking: work receptions, happy hours, sporting games, the list goes on and on. And wearing the same old same sweater and parka combo can get pretty mundane and leaves us not only feeling depressed about the bone chilling weather that we are enduring but also with our wardrobes. We have been there, we can sympathize but this year we are making an effort to change it up, to not let winter get the best of us and our wardrobes.
