We are excited to share our experience at CityCenterDC with you guys from the fine dining and cute coffee spots to the many options to exercise your retail therapy at. It’s all conveniently located in one spot, where you can shop outdoors but not walk a mile to get to your next favorite store. CityCenterDC’s location is perfection and providing easy, accessible parking and two of the city’s busiest Metro stations near by, is just icing on the cake. Convenience is king for us, so having multiple options to get to this shopping destination is a huge plus for us. We have been loving all of the luxury stores that have been popping up and have recently been frequenting Burberry, Kate Spade and Longchamp and really looking forward to the opening of Dior and Hermes! Our husbands may not be as excited… We checked out Rare Sweets to satisfy our sugar fix in between shopping and ended the day with a delicious spread at DBDG Kitchen and Bar. CityCenterDC has so much to offer and they keep growing! They really have curated the ultimate shopping, dinning and living experience that the DC area has to offer. Make sure to check it out next […]

Anyone else feeling a little shocked that the holidays are just around the corner? It seems like just a hot minute ago we were sweating our buns off and laying by the pool and now we are prepping for Thanksgiving, then Christmas and New Years…yikes! This time of year is pretty nostalgic for us; we are actually able to unplug, unwind, eat home cooked meals and spend quality time with the people we love and cherish most. Another reason we can’t get enough of this season is for the plethora of holiday parties. There is just something about getting dressed up in your finest and heading out into the blustery night to attend a festive party that really gets us in that holiday spirit. And while we love attending these parties, we seem to always find ourselves scrambling to hunt down a frock at the last minute. This year we decided to break that bad habit and do a little planning in advance. We called up our friends at Ella Rue and asked them to scout out a few knock-out dresses for us with the holidays in mind. We chose the gorgeous Virginia countryside with an equestrian twist for this shoot knowing full well […]

Sarah is wearing: Zara Shift Dress, Zara Suede Knee High Boots, Hat, Phillip Lim Bag and Alexander McQueen Scarf. Zara has always been one of our top go-to shops for updating our wardrobe from season to season. Their pieces are classic, durable and look much more luxurious and expensive than they really are. It’s really all about how you put it together, how you feel in it and the confidence you exude when you wear an outfit you look and feel great in. Proof that you don’t have to break the bank to look flawless. It also doesn’t hurt that their online ordering is easy, their shipping times are super fast and returns are painless (super important when online shopping). We love to check out Zara and other brick and mortar retail stores whenever possible, but hasn’t online shopping become just a little too convenient? Our lives continue to get busier and busier and we find ourselves even ordering our cleaning supplies online (thank you Amazon Prime). When did we become too busy to step away from the iPad and drive to the store? Are we busy, lazy or just too spoiled that we demand everything be delivered to our […]

We were lucky enough to meet with rising jewelry design star, Marrin Costello and her fabulous director of marketing, Jaclyn McKethen in DC a few weeks back. After a few cappuccinos and lattes our energy started flowing and we got to talking about MARRIN COSTELLO as a brand, who they are and what they are striving for in this industry which places them apart from their competitors. We felt like little girls playing dress up in mommy’s jewelry box, trying on different pieces and lusting over the next one that caught our eye. However, this was real life and we were being styled and layered with jewelry by the designer herself! All of MARRIN COSTELLO’s attainable luxury pieces are designed and handmade in LA with love. Each piece we laid our hands on had the perfect mix of edginess while still feminine, which allows for endless possibilities with future outfitting! You can see in Marrin’s designs that she has an appreciation for genuine artistry and craftsmanship. With an entrepreneurial background and a passion in accessories starting at a very early age it only made sense to turn her hobby in to a business after her studies of Art History and Egyptology […]
