The denim dress, it’s all the rage this summer and I finally know why. A denim dress is so versatile, it can be worn with sandals, boots, or heels, your options are endless. Because of its simplicity, there are so many ways to accessorize your look depending on your style and mood. So I now I know why everyone has a denim dress dress on. When I saw this Stella McCartney denim dress on sale right before the 4th of July weekend, I knew it was meant to be and I had to have it. The wash and fit are perfection. I was headed to a BBQ in Venice so I kept it simple and wore red flats to be patriotic and got inspired by the lovely Amber Fillerup Clark to try out the bubble ponytail. Talk about hair envy, she’s my go to girl when I want to learn a new hairdo or at least attempt one. Shop my favorite denim styles below. Falling for South Moon Under

There are times when living and working in the big city can really wear a girl down. Sometimes you just have to get in your car, roll down the windows and head somewhere where the air is clean, the sky is big and the only traffic is a herd of cows crossing the road. For me, that place is my hometown of Warrenton, VA, a charming little town about 45 minutes (and a millions miles) west of D.C. Driving down the winding country roads is my stress relief. As the city fades in my rearview mirror, a sense of relaxation that can’t be found at the fanciest spa or yoga retreat washes over me. Warrenton is part of my heart and I am so blessed to have spent my formative years in such a beautiful part of our country. When I think of fall, I think of gold and auburn foliage, horses, wineries and, of course, plaid. When we teamed up with local boutique South Moon Under to style a shoot highlighting our favorite fall styles, I couldn’t wait to head to my perfect location. A Trip to the Local Farmer’s Market

Every chance I get, I try to make a trip to the local farmer’s market on Sundays. I can’t think of a better way to start any day than walking the market tents and scoping out the produce, all while supporting small businesses and local farmers. My hubby and I really enjoy cooking together. It’s a creative outlet for us and sometimes it is the only bonding time we have with our crazy work schedules. During our visits to the farmer’s market, we find inspiration for planning our next meal while perusing all the local fruits and veggies that they have to choose from. That night we made zucchini spaghetti with fresh, homemade tomato sauce. So tasty! If you want to try out our sauce recipe you can find it here! Girls Night Out with DogVacay.com

After our whirlwind trip to Miami, we were in desperate need of a night of pampering and relaxation. The Miami heat, high heels and countless hours waiting in line for the next show took a toll on our face, back, feet and overall well being. So you can only imagine how excited we were when Dogvacay.com contacted us to try out their pet sitting services. Their site is so easy to use and we have read nothing but positive reviews and feedback about the company and their sitters. We started by searching their site for a local host and were thrilled to have found a well reviewed sitter that lived near by to come watch our little guys while we headed to the spa. We both went for a casual and comfortable look and carried our new Signature Collection bags from Free Endearment. Sarah is wearing her go-to boyfriend jeans by Zara, white blouse and carrying the Dana bag.
