Last year I made sugar scrubs which were a big hit, but this year I wanted to do something that was helpful in the kitchen whether you are a baker or a master chef. I made rosemary infused olive oil and vanilla extract. Both were so easy to make, cost efficient and took no time at all. Most importantly it’s the thought, time and love that you put in to each handmade packaged gift. What you will need.. Vanilla Extract: Glass containers Vanilla Beans (about 6-8 beans) Bourbon, Vodka or Rum Rosemary Infused Olive Oil: Glass containers Rosemary (about 10-15 springs) Olive Oil (1/2 a gallon) Ensure you sterilize your glass containers before use. Simply boil a large pot of hot water and place containers for about 10 minutes. Turn off heat and let them cool in water. Vanilla Extract: Split the vanilla beans lengthwise and scoop out the good stuff. Place in container along with the bean and fill with alcohol. Close and seal the lid tightly.
