The It Bag That We Can’t Stop Wearing “True friends are never apart. Maybe in distance but never in heart.” This is a quote that pretty much sums up Michelle and I’s friendship. We may live on opposite sides of the country but our friendship hasn’t changed a bit since her move out west. We still talk constantly about work, life, new mom discoveries, fashion finds and so on and it certainly makes the time we are able to spend together that much more special. While we can do much of our work and keep up with your friendship via phone and email, there are some things that just can’t be done via technology. Like meet the newest addition to 52 Thursdays, little baby Adaline! I headed out to LA a few weeks ago to meet this little angel and oh my god is she the cutest! I had some time to get to know Adaline while I visited and also learned that new parent life is no joke! But it seems that Michelle and Phil have the hang of it and nothing makes me happier than seeing my best friend be an amazing mother to her beautiful daughter. Our […]

Can you believe Fall clothing has arrived in stores. A part of me is excited because Fall, like most can agree along, is my favorite season to dress for. All the layering and styling options makes getting dressed each morning fun and so much more creative. From the endless boot options to the jackets, blazers, vest, sweaters … you get the idea. There are so many more options to mix and match and show your true personality. However … what I do love about Summer is the simplicity of dressing. Specifically when it’s 95 degrees, aka. feels like 120 degrees and a bathing suit would be more suiting if only that was acceptable. The more accepting and appropriate option would be to throw on a cute dress and sandals and you are good to go. Sometimes It’s nice not to over think every look. The simplicity of summer dressing allows more time for me to spend outside in the sun, enjoying it for all it’s worth rather than in my closet. Obviously the off the shoulder craze got me too. I’ve been wearing them non stop because it’s a fun twist to what would be a basic dress or top. You just can’t […]

Are you a daydreamer? Daydreamers way too often get a bad rep. Like we are walking around with our head in the clouds, thinking about lollipops, unicorns, puppies and rainbows. In my book, a daydreamer is a creative thinker and a fantastic believer. Someone with ambition and always thinking of solutions. Now tell me what’s so wrong with that? Even if some puppies and unicorns make their way in to those daydreams. 😉 I read a quote the other day that inspired me to keep my daydreaming game strong. “Never let it be said that to dream is a waste of one’s time, for dreams are our realities in waiting. In dreams, we plant the seeds to our future.” So true and well said by Dasha Alexandrovna Zhukova. Never stop daydreaming, because those dreams can truly come true with the right ambition, attitude and positive outlook. Who knows what will come out of it! I found this cute boater hat the other week that was the perfect little reminder and inspiration to keep those creative thoughts flowing. Plus this fun, off the shoulder ruffle dress is only $23! Say what?! Doing my best to save some pennies for those dreams I may need to invest in one day … […]

So … It’s December and temps are just now dropping in to a consistent high of 60 degrees. This means I don’t have to wear your typical winter clothes, at least not just yet. This also means this little black dress from South Moon Under has been on a serious repeat. I have been pairing this effortless LBD with my favorite over the knee boots to give the look a bit more of a “colder weather feel”. Now don’t get me wrong, once the sun sets the temperatures drop here in LA and that’s when I can enjoy my cool, brisk nightly walks with the fur baby and hubby. It’s my favorite part of the day. Throw on a leather jacket, blazer or coat with my dress and I’m set for the evening. It’s my go to piece for ease and comfort in the most stylish way. Wearing: Dress (South Moon Under); Hat (Sole Society); Boots (Jean-Michel Cazabat); Bag (Henri Bendel); Sunglasses (J.Martasand); Bracelets (Proenza Schouler & Hermes) Photography by Felicia Lasala Xo, Michelle
