The Crossfit gym is my sanctuary. I look forward to going every day because I can feel myself getting stronger each time I show up and love the stress relief that it gives me after I’m done. For me there is no better feeling than laying on the gym floor after completing a soul crushing workout that leaves you gasping for air and thanking god that it is over. I guess you could say that I’m addicted to that feeling and that moment of accomplishment because it keeps me coming back for more every single day. But when is does it become too much? After coming back to Crossfit after an injury last summer, I made it my goal to get stronger so that I would never put my body in danger again. I started working out 3-4 days per week and then I gradually worked my way up to 6-7 days per week and then adding in 2-a-days 3 times per week. I certainly had become much stronger and it showed but did I go too far? After noticing that I was spending more hours of my day at the gym than I was at home or at work, I realized that […]

One trend we are really loving this season is the floral trend. It’s kind of always around each Spring and Summer but there is a new twist with it this 2016 with edgier components and more of a chill vibe and feel. Which is why we are loving every minute of it. You can be girly and fun with a comfortable low key feel with flash backs of our youth from the 80’s and 90’s. We rounded up a few trend essentials that we love together with these floral prints. Chokers: Chokers are back and we aren’t complaining. It’s a nice switch up for an accessory trend with fun nostolgic memories. Cognac or Neutral colored cross bodies: An effortless bag that’s soft for the warmer weather and easy to sling on while on the go in your adventurous activities. Ankle and strappy short heeled sandals: Loving the heel height because its much more comfortable than stilettos! Mirrored Sunnies: They are vibrant with personality during the most fun and active season around. Denim Jacket: Bringing back the 80’s here with some light weight layering for Summer. Tie it around the waist, over the shoulders or on for an extra element to your ensemble. […]

When Sarah and Michelle told me I should contribute a post on fall fashions under $100, I thought, “Umm, well…like, actual good clothes that cost less than $100? Umm…” Which is not to say that I’m some rich snob who only wears $800 shoes. I don’t own any $800 shoes. C’mon, my last name isn’t Rockefeller! (And my husband reads this blog. Hi honey!) Ahem. So, no of course all of my clothes aren’t expensive, but I think I’m a savvy shopper: I find good deals, I tend to buy off-season items on sale and I never set out to shop for, say, a party dress. I see a dress that I love, I buy it and I find a party later. And I always find party worthy of a good dress. That said, I believe in investing in quality. When everything in your closet is well-made and looks good on, you always look good. So after I negotiated my baseline to $150….ish, I set out looking. I’m not going to insult our good readers’ intelligence by sending you to Forever 21 or Old Navy. You know they sell cheap affordable clothes. That tend to fall apart after a season. I’ve been […]
