The holidays are sneaking up on us and this year I’m hosting my first Thanksgiving. Gulp. While I’m very excited, I’m also pretty nervous. “What if I ruin the turkey? My dressing will never be as good as my mother’s!” So many nuances running through my head but instead of trying something new I’ve decided to stick with a few things that I know are tried and true crowd-pleasers. I’ve always been a fan of Brussels sprouts, well if they’re done right. And by done right, I mean starting them with bacon and finishing them with cream! Oh, and there might be some rosé in there too (some for you and some for the dish)! My Brussels are more of an indulgence than a healthy dish. But who’s really is watching their waistline on Thanksgiving? These Brussels have never let me down with dinner guests and I know your family will love them just as much as mine does. Wishing you all a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!! Find the full recipe with links to have ingredients delivered to your doorstep here. Pro tip: Be sure to pour yourself a glass as you are cooking. It’s been proven to help stress […]

I’m very into wedges these days. Whether it be a wedge heel or a wedge salad, you can count me in! We have been hosting our friends at the new house a ton, so I have been getting as creative as I can when it comes to grilling. Since we still don’t have a dining room table inside of our house currently, we’ve been utilizing our outdoor dining space as much as possible. So when I recently had a few friends together, I thought it would be the perfect time to test my new recipe. I created these grilled wedge salads to accompany grilled steaks, corn and a watermelon and feta salad and the entire meal was a HUGE hit! Find my recipe below and on FromThePod! Grilled Wedge Salad Ingredients 1 head of iceberg lettuce 4 slices of bacon ¼ cup blue cheese crumbles 1 cup cherry tomatoes 1 shallot 3 mini multi-colored peppers balsamic vinaigrette All ingredients can be found on Peapod.com and can be delivered to your door! Directions 1. Heat up the grill or prepare a charcoal for direct grilling over medium heat. Remove the loosest outer leaves from the lettuce. Cut your iceberg lettuce into […]

It’s Snack Time! I’ve always been a snacker. I remember coming home from school, dumping my backpack on the floor and making a b-line for the cupboard for my favorite cheese wiz and tortilla chip snack. Oh, those were the days! Now that I am in my mid-thirties I’m still all about snack time but I try to keep things a bit healthier. I make sure I stock up on healthy snacks that satisfy my cravings but also have some nutritional value as well. Snacks shouldn’t be boring, they should be something fun that you look forward to! So even if you are counting your macros or going keto, try to have fun with your snacks. Many of you know that I love shopping at Giant, I’ve been a loyal customer since I was a kid but also have had a long-standing partnership with Peapod to create and share some of my favorite recipes! They are my go to because I can order all of my groceries to my doorstep and it’s way more affordable than any other food delivery service I’ve found! I love that Giant gives you both options to shop easily in-store or order online because we are all […]

Chipotle Chicken Salad Hack When it comes to my go-to fast-casual lunch/dinner spot, Chipotle has always been at the top of my list. Mostly because I love the way Chipotle tastes but I also like that I can customize my bowls so that I can stick with my #52DayShred plan as well. Since I’m mildly obsessed with the salad they make there, I decided to give it a whirl at home. I knew I could replicate most of the ingredients but the dressing was something that took a few tries to get right. But once I nailed it, I’ve been eating this salad non-stop! Find my recipe for my Chipotle Salad Hack below! Salad Ingredients: 1 cup Ancho Chicken diced – cook chicken breast with 1 Adobo Pepper and 1 tablespoon of olive oil then chop once cooled. 1 Large Avacado 1 cup of Cherry Tomatoes 1 cup Tortilla Strips 1 container of mixed greens salad 1/2 cup of black beans Mexican Street Corn Ingredients: 1 cup of whole kernel corn 1 Tablespoon of butter cut into smaller pieces 2 Tablespoons of lime juice ½ cup of mayonnaise ¼ cup of Queso Fresco cheese crumbled or shredded — or substitute […]
