For those of you who have not heard of this runway show, it is a nationally acclaimed luxury brand event to help benefit the Washington Humane Society.  The models who walk in the show agree to raise a minimum of $5,000 in just 10 weeks leading up to the event by taking part in a friendly fundraising competition.  They are the bread and butter of this amazing fundraiser. We had so much fun watching these models strut down the aisle with their pups by their side, wearing the latest pieces that DC’s local luxury retailers carry.  They were able to raise over $404k by the end of it all AND helped numerous sheltered doggies find forever homes that night!  Such a fun event to attend, combining our two favorite things…fashion and dogs!  Brilliant idea. In DC, inclement weather usually results in an early work dismissal which allowed me time to pull out my laptop and casually browse New York Fashion Week’s Spring 2014 trends and everything that we have to look forward to.  Every week until Spring finally arrives, we are going to showcase one of our favorite trends that we can’t wait to style! The crop top is hands down my favorite trend for spring 2014.  I love the fact that it can be styled in so many different ways and for all ages.  From a hip down town city girl to a sophisticated lady like ensemble.  Here are some of our favorite takes on this trend. Let the inspiration begin! Now time to tone up those abs w/ 8 weeks to go!  Or you can always just layer the look 😉 xo
