Whether you are visiting LA, a new mom or still on the hunt to find activities for your kids in LA, I have you covered. As a mom of a two year old always looking for fun things to do on the weekend “aka. tire the hell out of them so they sleep well” I have done my fair share of research here in the Loa Angeles area so I decided to share my go to spots here! I’ll admit LA can be a bit intimidating because a lot of restaurants and places aren’t that kid friendly and like most moms, I hate the “judgy” eyes. You know those eyes … those heavy, judgemental eyes that glare at you when your kid is acting crazy for no reason except for the fact that you are in a closed, semi- contained space such as a restaurant or a store. It ruins the experience so I’m always on the hunt for kid friendly areas with like minded parents who are all on the same page which is to see their kids having fun! (And to tire the hell out of them.) So! I am rounding up my top 10 spots here in […]

Sharing our love for this city plus a baby and mommy 11 month update. It’s hard to believe that we have been in LA for over 3 years now. When we found out we were pregnant, the question we were constantly asked was “Are you planning on moving back home?”. We never toyed with the idea because we were both on a career path that we wanted to continue to pursue here. Now don’t get me wrong, I would love nothing more than to be surrounded with our immediate family and share the incredible development and experiences of sweet baby Adaline with them. We are doing our best as a new family of 3 to keep working hard and loving hard in the city we both share the same love for and know baby girl will someday too. We love LA for too many reasons. Yes, the weather is gorgeous and the views are insane but it’s the impactful, memorable moments of witnessing, exploring and sharing all of these memories together with my little family. There is so much to do here from hiking to beaching to eating and shopping. I could go on but you get the idea, our weekends […]

As I scroll through my Instagram and Facebook feed I can’t help but feel a bit of nostalgia as I see all my mommy friends sending their lil’ kiddos off to their first days back to school. With their cute lil’ book bags packed and ready to go, loaded with snacks and school supplies while their parents quietly break down in tears that their baby is growing up too fast. In my case it’s not back to school but back to work I go! And it’s the hubby quietly breaking down in tears as I leave him to fend for his own with baby girl. I was on maternity leave for 4 months which were 4 of the most challenging yet most joyful and rewarding months of my life. With countless, sleepless nights wondering how on earth I would even function during the day. Luckily, her sweet smiles and developing personality kept me going, that and a shit load of coffee. It’s an adrenalin on another level. Now adding all that plus work … it’s about to get a whole lot more interesting. I started work last week and it was tough. A mix between being emotionally sad to be away from Adaline to just physically exhausted to being […]

I’m having a hair love affair. With Valentine’s Day around the corner it felt only fitting to share my hair love affair with Sassoon Salon. I have spoken of my favorite salon in the past and touched on the trends and styles of the season, but I wanted to focus on the people that make it all happen. We all know I have a lot of hair, especially my stylist and colorist who work so hands on with it. And if you know me well, you know I’m weird about my hair. I don’t trust just anyone to manage my hair, from the color to the cut, our hair is a part of us and a large representation of our image. Which is why I value my relationship so much with my team at Sasssoon Salon. I believe that your hairstylist is someone you want to have a great relationship with. Similar to a significant other or a spouse, your stylist is one you need to trust and openly share your thoughts and concerns with. But about your hair of course! I can do just that with Dianne Degnan, my colorist, and Assistant Creative Director, David Clark. They listen to what I want and give […]
