So how many ladies have run in to the same dilemma as we have… You run out of a make up product, head to your favorite beauty store and end up spending hours looking for the next best thing. The testers and used makeup palettes are not so appealing or by any means hygienic. Then the sales associate attempts to apply the product on your hand to get the idea if it will match your face? And at some point you just give up, check out, go home and discover you don’t even love the product at all and will end up going right back where you started. Sound familiar? Recently we discovered Choix, a new way to try and buy makeup online. We are convinced that this start-up company is the future of beauty shopping in the most convenient way possible. We know this because we had the pleasure to try them out ourselves by picking a few samples online, from our favorite brands such as Chanel, Dior and Benefit. 11 Beauty Essentials: Sarah Spills Her Bag

We refresh our wardrobes, closets and home decor when the seasons change but do we do the same with our make up bags? I know I have found myself digging into my makeup bag to find old products that I probably should have thrown away years ago. Let’s face it, that year-old concealer tube at the bottom of your bag, covered in last Halloween’s gaudy eye shadow is probably not the healthiest for your skin and most likely deserves to be tossed. So this season I did a bit of a refresh: I purged a bunch of products to make room for bright shiny new ones. It was so worth it!! Anyone else out there feel like a kid in a candy store when you enter through the glorious doors of Sephora? I know I do! As a makeup junkie, I love testing new products and always leave the store with way more then planned—plus those travel sized products in the checkout line get me every time. Whichever Halloween fashionista lover you may be, we wanted to help and share our own Halloween Costume ideas for 2014. The hot and humid Summer weather has officially made its presence here in the DC area. Don’t get us wrong, we love the warmer weathers but it can be brutal and uncomfortable if your wardrobe and makeup bags aren’t prepared for it. We wanted to share our top 7 (5 + 2) Summer Essentials to help you get through the Summer in style. 1. Mirrored Sunnies: With a cool reflection, mirrored sunnies make for the perfect shades this summer. That and they are great for taking selfies! We are loving Illesteva, specifically this tortouise style with blue contrast mirrored frames which creates the perfect POC to any outfit. 2. The Perfect Tee: We have already preached how important it is to find the perfect tee, specifically for the Summer to throw on effortlessly. Enza Costa is one of our favorite vendors because they have successfully mastered the fit and fabrication of all their styles.
