My Tribe… Today I am welcoming my good friend, fellow entrepreneur, consultant, lifestyle blogger, artist, and one of my role models to the blog. If you haven’t heard of Meg Biram and you live in DC, well you may be living under a rock. This girl is a rock star people and if you aren’t already following her, you need to check out her website immediately! I met Meg almost two years ago when I had just left my full-time job as a Dental Sales Rep and took the plunge into self-employment. This was also around the same time that Michelle was making the move to LA. I had followed Meg’s blog for years and was floored when she reached out to me to join her co-working space in Georgetown. I can’t begin to explain how much joining this creative collective space has helped my business grow and prosper over the last year and a half. Plus it helped me from not going completely insane while making the transition into self-employment because working from your home every day can get downright distracting, boring and it can get pretty lonely too. DC x South Moon Under

It’s hard to believe that fall is finally upon us. Which means it’s time to update our wardrobes and start adding in pieces that will help us transition from the hot summer days to cool fall nights. Michelle and I may live on opposite sides of the country but we still share the love of one of our favorite stores, South Moon Under. Let’s just say that I am super lucky to live only a mile away from South Moon Under. It’s my go to spot when I need an outfit for an event, where I shop when I need to update my wardrobe each season and where I go to pick up gifts for friend’s birthdays. They always have what I’m looking for and many things I never knew I needed. Since I live in Virginia and work in Georgetown, I thought I would share with you all a sneak peak into my work day wearing my outfits that I styled from my favorite local shop, South Moon Under. Thread at Union Market

This weekend, Michelle and I went to check out the first ever Thread event at Union Market in DC. First of all, if you have never been to Union Market, you must get in your car and drive there as quickly as possible. Not only does this unique market have some of the hottest restaurants, good booze and cute shops but they also have a farmers market on the weekends. My absolute favorite thing to eat at Union Market are the korean tacos from Takorean, you have to try the Bulgogi Taco with Kimchi Slaw (you can thank me later). But I might not be seeing them as often as usual because my all time favorite ramen shop, Toki Underground, has a Pop-Up-Shop set up there for the next month. If you see a blonde chick slurping ramen in the corner..odds are that will be me. Enough about food, let’s talk about Thread. Thread was located upstairs (above the market) from Friday to Sunday this past weekend.
