It’s official, we have a big sister in training. I knew this day would come, the big girl room transition, I just didn’t think it would all happen so fast. Especially looking back at her nursery reveal post, it feels like just yesterday. Less than two months ago, my little doll baby was sleeping in a crib and wearing diapers like a baby. Today she’s in her very own big girl bed, with big girl sheets and pillows and wearing big girl underwear. She’s even too big for naps now (which was not my choice …). I’ll admit I was a bit apprehensive to begin the transition but with baby boy on the way, it gave me a little push to start nesting all around and settle in to the new norm. To my surprise, she took to it all so well! In fact, she was so excited to go to bed that night to sleep in her big girl bed, it may have been a record breaking “night time routine”. I’ve heard horror stories from friends who have had to sleep by (or in!) their bed until they fall asleep or the hours on end it would take for […]

DIY SWAN LAKE This happens to me every year, I never know when to start planning my Halloween costume bc I never really know my plans that far in advance. I end up either throwing something together last minute or doing absolutely nothing bc even if I end up having plans the effort just isn’t there. But this Halloween I’m so excited, because Adaline is finally old enough to understand playing “dress up”. Last year was dicey so we put her in skeleton pajamas to be safe but I was impressed with how quick she took to trick or treating, going door to door to get candy. Candy that mommy and daddy only ate but maybe this year I will give her a piece or two. Maybe. So! I wanted to share my quick and easy DIY Halloween costumes I made all via our beloved, Amazon Prime. We actually went to Party City to pick out a family costume but they all just looked cheap to me and I felt a bit overwhelmed. So we left with a shark costume for dada because, like every kid, Adaline is still obsessed with Baby Shark and I left feeling inspired to come […]

Whether you are visiting LA, a new mom or still on the hunt to find activities for your kids in LA, I have you covered. As a mom of a two year old always looking for fun things to do on the weekend “aka. tire the hell out of them so they sleep well” I have done my fair share of research here in the Loa Angeles area so I decided to share my go to spots here! I’ll admit LA can be a bit intimidating because a lot of restaurants and places aren’t that kid friendly and like most moms, I hate the “judgy” eyes. You know those eyes … those heavy, judgemental eyes that glare at you when your kid is acting crazy for no reason except for the fact that you are in a closed, semi- contained space such as a restaurant or a store. It ruins the experience so I’m always on the hunt for kid friendly areas with like minded parents who are all on the same page which is to see their kids having fun! (And to tire the hell out of them.) So! I am rounding up my top 10 spots here in […]

I’ll admit, last year I didn’t get too crazy with Easter. We made a small basket of goodies for her, dressed her up (which we don’t do too often) and went to church. That was about it. Since we have no family around us, celebrating the holidays alone can be a bit underwhelming especially when trying to get in to the spirit of things. However! This year, now that baby girl is almost 2 and functioning more like a human being (more so than she was last year where she could barely walk!) I want to get in to it more. Adaline has been all about dinosaurs the past month. So much that the theme for her 2nd birthday is going to be a dino time! So I only found it fitting to find her more dinosaur goodies to stuff her basket. That and her easter basket is actually a dinosaur! How cute, right? Sharing a quick peak in to our easter basket and the stuffers I thought were perfect for her age (all from Target) along with a few others that I need to jump on before the big day.
