It’s been a refreshing change for me since most of my days previously were spent behind my computer in my home. Don’t get me wrong, I love blogging and having the luxury of working from home with my two puppies by my side but sometimes you need to get out and be around people!! I shot this look with Emma back in October and while it is one of my favorite outfits, it still took over 4 months to make it to the blog. But with the craziness of the holidays, brand collaborations and picking up my new position with Strong Fitness, this post and a few others had to be put on the back burner. So here I am playing catch-up but lucky for me this look is still relevant come late January (thank god). Just throw on cute oversized coat and you are good to go. This look is perfect for a night out with the girls, date night with bae, or even a first tinder date. Today, instead of talking politics and giving you my two cents on this election and the candidate I voted for, I am talking fashion. Which might seem trivial at a time like this but maybe we need to get back to the things we enjoy and stop focusing on hate and the things we can’t change. So here is a little happy distraction from your news feed full of political rants. It’s official, I am bomber obsessed. Since it is FINALLY jacket season here in DC, it seemed appropriate to add one of these cool bombers into my jacket rotation and I have been wearing it non-stop since it arrived on my doorstep. You probably haven’t scrolled through a fashion magazine or blog without seeing a plethora of drool-worthy bombers and I get it. I’m not usually the first to jump on trends because when I buy something, I want it to last at least 2 seasons. And the bomber is something that I think will be sticking around for a little while. Crochet and Coffee, obviously. Well I’m partially kidding but honestly, I don’t think there is a thing out there that wouldn’t pair well with iced coffee in the summer time. This summer has been pretty darn hot so when I need a pick me up, iced coffee is definitely my go to. I love a good iced coffee from Starbucks but when I am out in DC, I love discovering boutique coffee shops because usually their cold brew cannot be beat. My ahhmazing photographer, Emma Weiss, and I stumbled upon The Coffee Bar near Logan Circle during a recent shoot and I instantly fell in love. Not just for their genius brews but also for their electric and quaint vibe.  A must try if you are in the Logan Circle neighborhood! I have been loving crochet pieces this summer and snagged this crochet shift dress at a recent Zara sale because the price could not be beat (under $40) and it was perfect for those end of summer parties/happy hours.
