There are times when living and working in the big city can really wear a girl down. Sometimes you just have to get in your car, roll down the windows and head somewhere where the air is clean, the sky is big and the only traffic is a herd of cows crossing the road. For me, that place is my hometown of Warrenton, VA, a charming little town about 45 minutes (and a millions miles) west of D.C. Driving down the winding country roads is my stress relief. As the city fades in my rearview mirror, a sense of relaxation that can’t be found at the fanciest spa or yoga retreat washes over me. Warrenton is part of my heart and I am so blessed to have spent my formative years in such a beautiful part of our country. When I think of fall, I think of gold and auburn foliage, horses, wineries and, of course, plaid. Fall Essentials with South Moon Under It seems that summer is officially coming to a close and fall is knocking on our door. It is always hard to say goodbye to the carefree days of summer but looking forward to fall fashion always make the transition just a bit more bearable. Our dear friends at South Moon Under sent us the cutest fall package with pieces that are already making the move to fall feel much easier. We love the color and cut of this simple yet elegant cami by Abbeline. It is the perfect piece to wear when it’s still warm but also would look fantastic layered with a blazer or cardigan when the weather gets chilly. The gold chain necklace looks so rich paired with the jade color cami and we can already tell we will be getting tons of wear out of this piece for fall/winter. The burgundy crocodile clutch really pulls the look together and we love how you can wear it with or without the removable gold chain. DUO: Day to Night Challenge

We were challenged by British shoe company, DUO, to choose our favorite pair of shoes from their shop and style them from day to night. It was so much fun styling around the shoes to come up with complete new outfits, from our own wardrobe, to create two totally different looks. Check out what we came up with and all the other options that DUO has to offer!
