The sun finally made an appearance this weekend and we were very anxious to make our way outside. There were a few chilly breezes, so we were really feeling the layering pieces for this post. I always feel most confident when adding a blazer or leather jacket to an outfit to pull together a complete, effortless look which can easily be dressed up or down (depending on the shoes and accessories, of course.) We chose flats and a statement necklace as we took Louis on a walk before heading off to brunch to enjoy the weather.

Following our last Spring post we wanted to share our favorite “White Out” shoe trends to complete the look. The below cluster features some our favorite Designer splurge shoes that walked the runway from the “ugly shoe”to the “studded shoe” followed by similar styles to help you achieve the same look but save more in the piggy bank for the rest of the “White Out” ensemble. Proenza Schouler leather shoes / Alexander Wang flat slingback shoes / Lanvin shoes / Christian Louboutin rollable flat / Valentino leather sandals / Sergio Rossi white pointed toe pumps Zara White Sandal / Jeffrey Campbell sandals / Michael Kors white leather loafer / Jeffrey Campbell white studded loafer / Sam edelman shoes / Steve Madden shoes I think the Valentino sandals might have to be a splurge this spring… sorry piggy bank. What’s your must have this Spring?? xo

DC got hit with yet another winter storm. Several inches of fluffy white snow covered our streets leaving most DC area residents stranded at home. We felt it appropriate to feature this week’s Spring trend on the white out look, which DC decided to take to a whole other level! The Spring 2014 runways were dominated by white; models were dressed head to toe in all shades of white creating an effortless, powerful yet feminine and goddess feel. Jason Wu Runway J. Mendel Jason Wu Alexander Wang Calvin Klein Chloe Philip Lim Stay warm xo Michelle & Sarah

Whether its basketball, baseball or football it seems as if there is always a sporting event taking place, #boring. However, I finally have something that sparks my interest this Spring…nope not baseball spring training, the sporty trend. I can’t get enough of this chill, relaxed yet refined trend. It can be worn anywhere from the beach to the city streets. Track pants, mesh, boxy on boxy, crop tops, high contrast colors and super performance fabrics will all be representing this cool and vibrant sportswear trend this spring. Check out my favorite sporty looks from the Spring 2014 runway Rag &Bone DKNY Narciso Rodriguez Gucci Alexander Wang Iceberg Barbara Bui Tommy Hilfiger And we can’t forget about the accessories! Proenza Schouler DKNY Chanel Jill Sander Nike Rose Gold Fuel Band So this spring tap into your inner bro and get into some sports…wear.
