Every weekday morning I stand in front of my closet, coffee mug in hand, completely baffled about what to wear to work. When I finally make a decision (at the last possible moment) I leave behind a disaster zone—clothes and hangers cover nearly every inch of my closet, my bedroom and sometimes even my dog. I have a problem. I know that. But I don’t think I’m alone. I can’t be the only one questioning every outfit choice I make: Is this sweater too casual? Am I showing too much skin? Funny story, last month my husband showed up to a black-tie wedding wearing a khaki linen suit.. Apparently I had forgotten to read the fine print on the bottom of the wedding invitation and he wasn’t too happy with me but after handing him a few whiskeys from the open bar, he seemed to care a lot less. After our epic failure and having received a few similar questions from readers, we wanted to help clarify the many misunderstood wedding dress codes out there and who better to help us with this task then a wedding expert? Designer Spotlight: 52 Minutes with Marrin Costello

We were lucky enough to meet with rising jewelry design star, Marrin Costello and her fabulous director of marketing, Jaclyn McKethen in DC a few weeks back. After a few cappuccinos and lattes our energy started flowing and we got to talking about MARRIN COSTELLO as a brand, who they are and what they are striving for in this industry which places them apart from their competitors. We felt like little girls playing dress up in mommy’s jewelry box, trying on different pieces and lusting over the next one that caught our eye. However, this was real life and we were being styled and layered with jewelry by the designer herself! All of MARRIN COSTELLO’s attainable luxury pieces are designed and handmade in LA with love. Each piece we laid our hands on had the perfect mix of edginess while still feminine, which allows for endless possibilities with future outfitting!
