Summer doesn’t always have to end … especially if you live in LA 😉 No but seriously, with the constant change of weather I’m making my summer pieces last a bit longer this year. If this Fall is anything like last season, I will be sweating my butt off in 80 degree weather while I attempt to layer and stomp around in heavy boots as if it ever snows here. So this time around I want to make my favorite styles last a bit longer while introducing some fall trends to keep up with the rat pack. I’m o b s e s s e d with this little blue floral number that I found from Wylie Grey. They offer some of the cutest, most trend driven staples edited down to perfection with a friendly price point for a pleasant online shopping experience. This dress for only $89 has just been the easiest thing to throw on during these painfully long heat waves while still feeling cute in a ruffle number. To phase a dress like this in to Fall I love the idea of wearing an oversized houndstooth tailored blazer like this one for a little pattern play or the […]

Are you a daydreamer? Daydreamers way too often get a bad rep. Like we are walking around with our head in the clouds, thinking about lollipops, unicorns, puppies and rainbows. In my book, a daydreamer is a creative thinker and a fantastic believer. Someone with ambition and always thinking of solutions. Now tell me what’s so wrong with that? Even if some puppies and unicorns make their way in to those daydreams. 😉 I read a quote the other day that inspired me to keep my daydreaming game strong. “Never let it be said that to dream is a waste of one’s time, for dreams are our realities in waiting. In dreams, we plant the seeds to our future.” So true and well said by Dasha Alexandrovna Zhukova. Never stop daydreaming, because those dreams can truly come true with the right ambition, attitude and positive outlook. Who knows what will come out of it! I found this cute boater hat the other week that was the perfect little reminder and inspiration to keep those creative thoughts flowing. Plus this fun, off the shoulder ruffle dress is only $23! Say what?! Doing my best to save some pennies for those dreams I may need to invest in one day … […]

Own a pair of crop flares? I don’t. Well … I didn’t until I attempted my own DIY crop flares at home! I’m really digging this trend but have been on the defense about purchasing yet again another well … trend. Throwing away more money in to something that may not be around next season and who knows … may not even look good on my chicken legs. So I decided to attempt the crop flare trend on my own with a pair of old flares that I have yet to wear in years (not at all an exaggeration). You can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was that they still fit, might I add. The fact that these flares have remained un worn for that long, I did not have the slightest hesitation to take some scissors and hack away to create this trend on my own. Cost me nothing. That’s a trend I’m willing to attempt. It’s so easy, I don’t even need to write up a step by step. Just try the flares on and pin the length to where you would like your new hem to fall. Leave 1/2 an inch for any mistakes as well as for distressing. I threw mine in […]
