We’ve worked hard on our skincare game during quarantine so we’re not giving up on it just because summer is here. I’m not saying I’ll be hiding from the sun either because even though my dermatologist will cringe reading this, I still love laying out but not without protection! As I’ve aged, I’ve realized how important prevention really is and have been testing everything under the sun (pun intended) so that you guys don’t waste your money on the junk out there. LA x South Moon Under

We partnered up with South Moon Under, one of our favorite local shops back home in DC, to share with you our favorite hang out spots in our home towns. We love South Moon Under for one simple reason: it’s your one stop spot to shop. No matter what the occasion you are dressing for, they really do have it all. Enough to dress me all over Los Angeles while I show you where I spend most of my leisure time! Now I could share with you some of Los Angeles’s hottest tourist spots, but that would be too easy and you’re probably already aware of them. I want to introduce you to the places that may not always be on the maps but definitely a must stop while you are in the area and of course suggestions on how to dress for the visit. Venice is one of my favorite weekend hang outs for the simple reason that there is so much to do. They have the cutest restaurants, coffee shops, stores and of course there’s the beach. Swim At Your Own Risk

While we were in Miami for Fashion week we had the amazing opportunity to check out the debut of Karla Colletto’s Cruise 2015 collection. This unique and creative capsule collection was the perfect collaboration with Washington D.C. based creative agency Design Army. Karla Colletto and creative director Pum Lefebure created the Swim At Your Own Risk capsule collection. They did an absolutely amazing job capturing creative composition with a signature look featuring exquisite construction and high-quality materials. So of course we had to check out the Design Army pool party at the Capitol Skyline Hotel August 22nd, celebrating the exclusive collection. The models were stunning, perfectly capturing a modern, witty and fresh new take on swimwear. The two beauties in the middle are non other than the creative director of Design Army, Pum Lefebure and Kim Thornton of Karla Colletto. “The modern woman is daring, and never shies away from adventure.
