Let’s face it, Summer in DC is hot. Like super freaking hot. So the less clothing I can wear on these hotter than hot days the better. I am a huge fan of wearing dresses, especially in the summer because they look super chic, are easy to wear, breezy and most importantly they keep me cool. I am in love with this red off the shoulder number from Tuckernuck not only because it has me feeling like the red flamingo dancing emoji but because it is also super flattering and comfortable. The off the shoulder look is huge right now and I have found myself adding more and more of these styles to my wardrobe. Best part is that you can wear most of these styles off both shoulders or just one if you are feeling funky. I recently wore this dress during my first on air appearance on Let’s Talk Live DC where I mixed up 4th of July inspired cocktails. A Floral Spring Fling

It’s a floral spring fling … You could call it a spring fling … or my on and off love affair with floral dresses. I love the idea of a floral dress but always fear this look isn’t the best for me nor suit my personality. But when I saw this off the shoulder floral maxi with high slit from Tuckernuck, I knew it was love at first sight. I wore it the very next day after I received it in the mail. It was the perfect maxi dress to wear to lunch that weekend. I’m not one to wear heels as often during the day because comfort is always key in my weekend styling . So I opted for some flat gladiators (which btw- the taller style is more than half off now) to dress down the maxi and wore a few casual black accessories to tie in the look. Outfit linked below! April Showers

April is a strange month, mostly because I was born in it but also because of the crazy weather it brings. During this wacky month here in VA we have experienced snow, 90 degree weather, a boat load of pollen flying around and a decent amount of rain. Luckily I have an app on my phone that wakes me up with the weather and a humidity count each day, otherwise I would be completely lost when trying to get ready in the morning. Depending on the day or what I have going on, I always carry my new Barbour rain coat with me. Because no matter what, showers could occur at practically any moment. I am absolutely in love with this little jacket because it repels rain, is super light, has huge pockets to keep all my stuff and is beyond cute. I have worn it with a preppy little outfit like pictured in this post, with jeans and heels and even over my workout clothes when it decides to pour down rain.
