The Best Valentine’s Day Cookie Recipe Ever

We wanted to have a low key girls night this past weekend and thought it would be fun to get together, drink some vino and decorate sugar cookies to get ready for Valentine’s day. I’m always looking for an excuse to make my mom’s famous sugar cookies, so it just made sense to host a cookie decorating party with all of our friends. They are so easy to make and you will have plenty left over, even after the party. This has been a family recipe that I always look forward to making with my mom and sister every year (and of course enjoying them after). They come out light and fluffy and warning; they are extremely addictive!! “Peggy’s Sugar Cookies” Ingredients 2 cups of sugar 1 1/2 cup shortening 3 eggs 1 cup milk 1 tbs baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 5 cups (flour till thick) Mix thoroughly and chill overnight. Roll out on floured surface and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 min.
