Amangiri – Is it Worth The $$

On our 7 week long van road trip across the country, we stopped at a bucket list location of mine in Utah called Amangiri. I’ve been eyeing this resort for years and when Casey told me our route through Utah (which put us miles from the resort) I figured it was destiny. Casey hadn’t heard of Amangiri so he had no idea what he was getting into and literally fell off his chair when I told him how much one night would cost us. I only convinced him because I told him it would be my treat and booked for one night because it was soo darn expensive. I figured that since we were living in a van for 7 weeks, one night in a lux hotel would be a-ok.

The price tag is steep, and I was pretty uncomfortable booking at $2000 per night but I pulled the trigger anyway bc yolo and hoped and prayed that the experience would be worth the dollar signs. I had lots of questions from you guys while we were staying at Amangiri so I thought I’d break it all down for you here in hopes to help you make your decision if you might want to make a visit to this luxe resort too.

-They are pet friendly (for an additional $100 per night)

-They cook the dogs top notch breakfast and dinner (like so good I would eat it).

-Spa amenities are included (steam room, sauna, cold plunge, hot tubs).

-Beautiful Pool and hot tubs (you can also upgrade your room to have a private pool).

-Staff is beyond accommodating and made us feel like royalty.

-There isn’t a bad room there! All rooms have outdoor seating and fireplaces oh and stunning views.

-They have planned excursions and workouts you can do daily that are all included.

-They also have all the add-ons and luxury experienced you could every imagine. So if you want to splurge on a helicopter ride, you can!

-They even washed our Van while we were there at no charge! Customer Service was on point!

-You could spot Kim K or Bieber there anytime

-I could go on and on but I’ll stop here.

Cons:

-Very Pricey. Starts at $1500 per night and goes up based on time of year.

-Hard to get to. I think this is a pro but some might think its a con because travel there might take a few more steps.

-You’ll want to stay more than one night. Book for at least two to get the full luxury experience.

If you couldn’t already tell by my short list of cons, I think the resort is well worth the price tag. We loved it so much we added on an additional night and didn’t look at the credit card until we were back in the van. lol. It was a HUGE splurge but memories that Casey and I will always cherish. We are already looking forward to our next trip back but for now we are back on the grind so we can afford it. Have a question? Leave it below and I’ll be happy to help! Happy (safe and socially distant) travels!
