Do you have tons of people to shop for holiday presents for but limited funds to do so?? Well I have the perfect answer for you, make your own sugar scrub. It is super simple to make and will really wow your friends and family. Of course I kept the left overs and I can assure you that this stuff works, your hands will feel absolutely amazing after and will smell delish! So good you may even want to eat it!
Pictured here are the ingredients that you will need to purchase for this project. I purchased a box of dark brown sugar and light brown sugar and a jar of coconut oil from my local grocery store. I purchased the essential oils from Amazon.
You can add any essential oils that you would like but I purchased these from Amazon. I picked Coconut Cream, Mango Madness and Vanilla.
I found these super cute jars at my local Michaels store. They were $4.99 each (don’f forget to use a Michaels coupon) and I got 1 for 50% off with my coupon! These jars are easy to get your hand into, mason jars are cute but its hard to put your hand in to dig out the scrub.
I put the entire box of each sugar into the bowl. The key is 2 parts sugar to 1 part coconut oil. Mix together and add your oils as you see fit. I used a few drops of Mango and Coconut.
Once Mixed together, fill up your jars and close them! It is really as simple as that!
You can finish them however you like, I ended up tying rafia around the top of the jar but you can add ribbon and a special tag or label. Be creative!
