It’s hard to believe that fall is finally upon us. Which means it’s time to update our wardrobes and start adding in pieces that will help us transition from the hot summer days to cool fall nights. Michelle and I may live on opposite sides of the country but we still share the love of one of our favorite stores, South Moon Under.

Let’s just say that I am super lucky to live only a mile away from South Moon Under. It’s my go to spot when I need an outfit for an event, where I shop when I need to update my wardrobe each season and where I go to pick up gifts for friend’s birthdays. They always have what I’m looking for and many things I never knew I needed.

Since I live in Virginia and work in Georgetown, I thought I would share with you all a sneak peak into my work day wearing my outfits that I styled from my favorite local shop, South Moon Under.  Hope you all enjoy!

Whether I’m hitting crossfit or getting a sweat sesh in by the waterfront, I try not to skip a day if I can. My health and fitness  are super important to me, so I try to make it a priority in my day even if it’s a quick workout. When I’m in the Georgetown office, I will bring my workout clothes and my jumprope and do some double unders and body weight exercises to get my blood flowing. Sometimes I will even run the exorcist stairs that became famous from the movie,  I feel so much more productive during the day when I workout, so really it’s a win win!

After I’m done with my workout, I usually stop by Malmasion for a fresh juice before I head back to the office. I love the Vert Force because it’s delicious but also soo good for you. If I need an extra pick me up, I’ll grab a cappuccino as well and head back for the office to get the day started.
If I’m feeling a little wild, I’ll drop by District Doughnut for a treat.

I joined a Creative Collective workspace in Georgetown a little over a year ago and it has been one of the best decisions for my business. Working on your own, can get lonely, so having a place to go where I can surround myself with other creatives doing similar things that I am, is refreshing. I work along side other bloggers and entrepreneurs such as: Meg Biram, Grit and Grace, Laura Metzler Photo, Healthfully Ever After and many more female creatives that are kicking serious butt in DC.
An average day when I’m in the office starts with catching up with the the girls over coffee. It is rare that we are all there at the same time, so whenever we get a chance to see each other and bounce ideas off each other, we take full advantage. Then it’s on to checking emails, blog writing, coming up with strategies for my social media clients, calls with clients, photoshoots, oh the list goes on. Usually there aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done but I always seem to find time to sneak away to grab a quick bite at Sweetgreen.  Their salads are always fresh and healthy and since they are only a block away, I can easily pick one up and bring it back to the office to eat while I work. I also frequent Cafe Tu-o-tu, Pizza Paridiso and Balducci’s for lunch.
Dress is casual at the office but I always use it as an excuse to wear something cute. Many times when I am there, I am shooting different looks, so I may wear my first look to the office and start shooting from there. On other days when I don’t have shoots or meetings,  I will wear my workout clothes throughout the day because why not?!

After work is done its time to celebrate with friends and cocktails! There are a few places that the girls and I love going to after work but El Centro has been a favorite because of the yummy margaritas, guacamole and rooftop views. A few other great spots are the Graham rooftop, Peacock Cafe and anything on the waterfront. There are so many amazing options in Georgetown when it comes to getting drinks or dinner, sometimes its hard to pick just one!

While I would love to do happy hour with the girls every time that I go into the office, that just isn’t realistic for anyone’s schedules. So usually we will plan on doing a happy hour to get everyone together at least every few months. Its fun to catch up on life, travels, work and also a great excuse to wear something super cute!
