You really see it all when it comes to Fashion Week. The good, the bad and the ugly. One of my favorite parts about this fashion circus is the people watching, it’s almost better than the runway shows. I pull so much inspiration from what I see on the streets in New York and even if that was all I went to NYFW for, it would be worth it.
This fashion week was a little bit quieter for me than the ones in years past. I went to less shows, had more meetings, was able to meet up with friends and actually eat meals. Usually we are so busy running from show to show that we end up skipping lunch and dinner and lord knows that none of the NYFW parties that we ever attend serve meals. I guess that is just a fashion thing, no one eats.
NYFW was also a tad disorganized this year, which was to be expected after Mercedes Benz dropped the event after last season. Instead of most of the events being held at Lincoln Center like in years past, the shows were scattered around the city which made for mad traffic and surged UBER pricing. Most shows were at Skylight at Moynahan Station, Chelsea Piers, Spring Studios and Milk Studios. All great places to people watch, so if you ever find yourself itching to spot a celebrity or your favorite blogger, there is a good chance you will see them at one of those locations during fashion week. So here you have it, my NYFW SS16 Street Style roundup filled with interesting styles from celebs, friends, bloggers and more.
