When it comes to anti-aging products, I’m willing to test it all. The older I get, the more I kick myself for not taking better care of my skin when I was younger. In my twenties, all I cared about was being tan and skinny and I didn’t think much about what consequences my decisions would have on my body in the long run.
Now, in my mid-thirties, my priorities are much different, and my health and my skincare routine are top on my list. We all know by now that sunscreen is a must in your daily routine but is there actually a way to correct the damage you’ve done in the past without invasive injections or laser treatments? The answer is YES.
The skincare market is completely saturated with products and companies claiming they will “turn back time” or “stop aging in its tracks”. Which leaves us, the consumers completely confused wondering who is actually telling the truth.
Since becoming a blogger, I’ve been able to test out hundreds of products. Some have been complete crap with a select few that I swear by and re-order on a regular basis. Most of these products we won’t even waste your time with because we only share what we love, use and stand behind, regardless if they are paying us.
SkinCeuticals is a brand I’ve been watching for years. I’ve been intrigued by their line because it has scientific backing, is sold in many dermatology offices and I’ve had multiple friends rave about their products. So my question was, do their products actually work? Like will you actually see a difference?
Only one way to find out! Three months ago, I popped my SkinCeuticals cherry and started using the H.A. Intensifier, Retinol 0.3 and night time moisturizer. Since then, I have been absolutely hooked. It was perfect timing that they invited me to attend their luncheon in D.C. during the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) conference. It was there that they introduced me to the Custom D.O.S.E and Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight. I’ve been using both products for 2 weeks now and I’m obsessed!
At the AAD conference, I was able to meet the lovely and uber smart, Dr. Smith-Phillips of Mt. Pleasant Dermatology. I had the pleasure of sitting next to her while we dined at Kinship (which is amazing btw, you have to go) which meant I was able to ask her every skincare question under the sun. She was so knowledgeable! After lunch, Dr. Smith-Phillips and the SkinCeuticals team showed us around the SkinCeuticals booth at AAD, where I discovered a few more products to try. Before the event was over, I was able to have one-on-one time with Dr. Smith-Phillips where I shared all of my skin concerns with her and she helped me formulate my own Custom D.O.S.E to target every single one of those needs. It was so cool to see my own Custom D.O.S.E come to life right in front of my eyes. The technology was so cool!
The meeting totally brought me back to my dental sales days where I would work these meetings! Boy have times changed! The entire experience was top notch, which was a complete reflection of how the company does business. The science is there and you can tell they care about their customers.
This is a new product that SkinCeuticals recently introduced to the market. It’s a personalized correction designed for YOUR Skin. Custom D.O.S.E is a professional service done in your dermatologist’s office that combines high-potency ingredients with professional expertise to recommend a personalized corrective serum just for you and your concerns.
I love serums so I was really excited to receive my own Custom D.O.S.E. Since it was developed with science and my own skin concerns, I know that all of my problem areas are being addressed, unlike a generic product that you might pull off the shelf at a beauty store. I’ve been using my custom formula every morning for the last two weeks and I can tell an instant glow and brightness after I put it on. I can’t wait to see what kind of results appear after using it for even longer.
Every woman needs a good night routine. Whether that is retinol or glycolic acid, you should be doing something at night to help CORRECT your skin. I’ve been using this product for the last two weeks and am loving it so far. I like to alternate between the Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight and the Retinol by SkinCeuticals because the Glycolic is less harsh on your skin and Retinol takes a bit more time to get used to. This nighttime glycolic acid cream delivers a true 10% glycolic acid value to promote cellular turnover for healthy, glowing skin and you wake up with just that! In fact, 36% of people who have tried this product saw improvement in glowing skin, including me!
I love using my Custom D.O.S.E in the morning and my Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight at night before bed. Both have been just the addition I have needed to my skincare regimen. Can’t wait to share my results and more products I’ve tried and loved from SkinCeuticals with you soon!
